Maid of Honor
Leslie and Katy first met working together in Dr. Lester Wilson's food science research lab over the summer of 2018, and since then have had many a nerdy food adventure together (but thankfully no more mouse trapping adventures)! From making homemade lasagna first in Ames, IA to sampling ginormous eggrolls from a Roseville, MN food truck and tasting all the wine during a girls weekend in Branson, MO, it's been a wild (and delicious!) ride.
Bridesmaid
Leslie and Kenzie have gone to school together all the way from kindergarten throughout undergrad at Iowa State! While most adventures together were had during undergrad when our friendship grew much closer, our excursions almost always centered around delicious food (or should we say, sugar haha) and fun conversations, even if it was just the Wednesday $5 unlimited Orange Leaf eaten in the parking lot :)
Bridesmaid
Leslie and Allison first met freshman year at Iowa State during their food science major orientation course. This fast friendship continued through both food science club involvement (primarily through the stress bonding of being fudge fundraiser co-chairs) and became Kind of a Big Dill when they joined a mutual friend to compete in a product development competition (in which they won 3rd place and People's Choice)! Even though Allison had an amazing co-op over making chocolate at Hershey and they didn't graduate in the same year, there have been many sushi and pizza dinners!
Bridesmaid
Leslie and Verilyn first met at Iowa State during FSHN 101 - Dr. Lester Wilson's Food and the Consumer class, when one unmentioned party came in a bit late and sat down next to the other in the front row. A few classes later and soon we were having lunch together in the MU right after class! Leslie credits her love of bubble tea (plus taro milk tea and boba), hot and dry pot to Verilyn, and looks forward to any and all new food discoveries the two of them may embark on together in the future (even if it is just some classic Iowa casseroles and broaster chicken)!
Bridesmaid
Leslie and Lena first met freshmen year at Iowa State during their food science major orientation, but they became friend’s sophomore year after realizing they shared a lunch hour and would have a weekly lunch date at Clyde’s (RIP Clyde’s). Leslie and Lena enjoy a lot of similar interests: food, interning with Land O’ Frost, being Kind of a Big Dill, finding adoptive grandparents, communicating with just looks, etc. When Leslie and Lena are together, there is always a fun time ahead.
