FAQs

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Cocktail attire is requested! All colors are welcome except white (save that for the bride). The bridal party will be in plum purple, so feel free to avoid that shade if you don’t want to accidentally match. November in Spokane has very beautiful fall colors, so fall colors can be fun but not necessary! Cocktail attire examples: mid-thigh to ankle length dresses, dressy jumpsuits, suits, slacks/jacket, and ties are optional. Weather tips: fleece-lined skin-colored tights can be very helpful if you run cold, and a shawl or jacket is recommended. There will be a coat check.

Question

Where should I stay in Spokane?

Answer

We have a room block at the Hampton Inn, which you can access through the Travel page. Our venue, Chateau Rive, is located downtown on the river in the historic Flour Mill building (below Clinkerdagger). If the Hampton Inn is full or not ideal, there are several nearby hotels within walking distance downtown.

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

We are inviting a select few children by name. If your child is invited, they will be listed on your formal invitation. We kindly ask that guests do not bring additional children who are not named.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive 15-30 minutes early so you can get settled before the ceremony begins. We will be locking the doors precisely at ceremony start time. We’d hate for you to miss the moment!

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! There is venue parking that is (unfortunately) pay to park. There are also plenty of nearby parking in downtown Spokane, including several public lots, garages, and street parking. We recommend allowing a little extra time as downtown can get busy. There is also plenty of ride-share options (Uber, Lyft) if you don't want to deal with the hassle.

Question

What should I expect for the weather?

Answer

November in Spokane can be chilly but usually no snow (think high 40s to low 60s)! The ceremony will be outdoors on grass (weather permitting) and relatively short (under 30 mins), and the reception will be indoors. We recommend bringing a shawl or coat (there will also be a coat check).

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

No. We kindly ask that you enjoy the ceremony unplugged so everyone can be fully present with us. Our photographer and videographer will capture everything!
