On the first day at OSU, they both volunteered around the community with the honors college. On the way back to West Hall they shared a van ride back. Isaac remembers this but Kiana doesn't.....Later that month they met again and again in the third floor social lounge, and fell in love. Though Isaac didn't remember Kiana's name until November......

On her first day working at Fred Meyer, Isaac asked Kiana to meet him in the social lounge before work to watch cartoons and eat frosted flakes. Isaac is terrible at waking up, so he stayed up the entire night to be in the lounge at 6am sharp. Kiana didn't know this until later.

Winter term of freshman year they both had math classes first thing in the morning. Isaac asked Kiana if he would have breakfast with him before class so that he could walk her to class. Then met fro breakfast every morning for the entire term and ordered two plates of french toast with strawberries every morning. Isaac never failed to show up bright and early tea in hand.

You could say it was love at first sigh- but only for Kiana. It took two and a half months for Kiana to convince him to give them a try. But it wasn't only Kiana, it was the entire third floor of West hall, including many members of the wedding party. Since November they talked everyday, shared every meal, were fairly inseparable, provided emotional support to each other, and every one knew they were dating- except Isaac. Feb 1st is the day he finally realized.

Every couple fights, one fateful day in March 19 year old Kiana and Isaac were doing just that. At a pivotal part in the relationship, setting the tone for how they deal with the fights in the future, things were not looking good. Do we give up or fight for what we have? Since Isaac is 14 inches taller than Kiana, she climbed into the empty dorm closet to be on eye level and said she would never leave no matter how hard it got. Now they say "I'm standing in your closet" when things get hard.

Isaac and Kiana have been through a lot, four years of school, four places they lived, three cars, four jobs, lots of different roommates, favorite restaurants, and lots of love. Isaac wanted to relive all of that on the night he proposed to Kiana. After Kiana got home from a 22 hour day that started at 2am she was a tired emotional wreck worring about the future. After waiting for her all day Isaac was not greeted very nicely and after containing her breakdown and stroking her hair he said "lets go for a drive" Having broken his hand, Kiana had to drive, but he directed her to each of the four places they lived. At each location she would park and Isaac would recount all of his favorite parts of their lives while they lived there. Getting back to their current home Isaac had a case of cold feet and decided instead of asking her at the final house, he took her on a walk. They got FroYo and walked around campus to every spot Kiana had asked Isaac if he was ready top think about marriage in the last 6 months. After getting all the way back to the house again, Kiana was so emotionally fried that she storms up the stairs wanting to go to bed. Isaac trails behind her and says "Kiana-" "I just want to go to bed Isaac, I've been up since 2am" she turns around on their front porch and sees him on one knee, in the dark. "Will you marry me?" "Are you serious?" And he was.
