Recommendations + Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Khaled K and Aishah B
Taos is truly one of the most unique places in the USA. While it's difficult to get here, once you arrive you'll see there's plenty to keep you occupied when you're not busy celebrating with us. There are tons of restaurants, shops, boutiques, and galleries to check out while in town. For cuisine, we recommend: -Orlando's (New Mexican) -Guadalajara Grill (Mexican) -Mondo Italiano (Khaled's first restaurant employer!) -Michael's Kitchen (New Mexican/Bakery) -Aceq (Comfort Food) -Mante's Chow Cart (Breakfast Burritos) There's also lots of great hiking/biking trails and fishing spots near town. If you have a rental car, considering driving about 25 minutes out of town to Angel Fire or Red River. As for the major landmarks, you can't say you've visited Taos unless you've seen:

Taos Plaza

North Plaza, Taos, NM 87571

Taos' central hub filled with shops, cafes, galleries, and boutiques! Definitely visit Khaled's family's jewelry stores, Taos Kokopelli and Pueblo Collection, and say hi to his uncles!

Rio Grande Gorge Bridge

NM 87529

Breathtaking views of the Rio Grande Gorge and Taos Mountain. Great for photos, bad if you're scared of heights!

Taos Pueblo

Taos Pueblo, NM

The oldest, continuously-inhabited place in North America. The Taos Pueblo allows visitors certain days and times, check online before you drive out there.

Taos Ski Valley

Taos Ski Valley, NM 87525

Great views and the cleanest air around! Some shops/restaurants will still be open during our wedding week despite ski season being a couple months away. Definitely worth a visit!

The Slide Trail - Upper Trailhead

County Road 110, Ranchos de Taos, NM 87557

Beautiful walking trail that starts at the top of the Rio Grande Gorge and leads you down to the river itself. Suitable for all experience levels, an easy hike that'll give you a taste of Taos' natural beauty.
