About Bali
There are plenty of places to explore around the island of Bali! The two areas we covered when we were there in December 2018 are Kuta and Ubud so we only have a handful of recommendations.
TripAdvisor is a gem for tours around the island so we found it best booking through them!
Kuta caters to a younger crowd who like to bar hop and party.
Ubud is a small town 22 mi/35 km away from Kuta. It is a spiritual town filled with yogis, art, rice terraces and forests. This is where our marriage celebration is held!
NOTE: Please be mindful: most Balinese people are Hindus and worship day and night. You will see palm trays and incense scattered around the streets; do not step on them! If visiting temples [you should!], please cover your shoulders and legs.
