We hope everyone is continuing to stay safe and healthy (and hopefully getting vaccinated if you can)! As many of you know, after we postponed our wedding we decided we didn’t want to wait to get married so we went ahead and tied the knot in a small ceremony with close family on our original wedding date, August 1st, 2020. It was such a happy day and we are so excited to be husband and wife. This doesn’t change our plans for this summer and we can’t wait to celebrate with all of the important people in our lives on July 24th! We hope everyone will be able to join us on Whidbey Island for the best weekend ever! (Scroll down for one of our favorite photos from the day!)
In 2015 Megan took a temp job at the front desk of a community mental health clinic where Kevin was working as a counselor. From the very beginning there were sparks and flirty emails. While everyone in Megan's life knew about CCK (Cute Counselor Kevin), Kevin initially resisted a workplace romance until better judgment prevailed.
Some of our most special memories from throughout our relationship have been spending time at Megan's family's beach house on Whidbey Island. Kevin knew this was the place to propose! After months of throwing Megan off the scent, Kevin popped the question while hiking on Ebey's Landing (one of our favorite things to do on the island). He had hidden the ring and a bottle of champagne in his backpack and even managed to get the whole thing on camera! She said yes!
