quintessentially san francisco

We love San Francisco with all our hearts and are excited to share some of the places that make it so special to us, with you! Restaurants, bars, and coffee shops are at the bottom of the page.

Golden Gate Park

San Francisco, CA

Kevin runs through Golden Gate Park every day -- it may or may not have been a driving force behind his decision to move to SF after business school. Run, run, run!

Lands End Trail

Lands End Trail, San Francisco, CA 94121

Lands End features breathtaking views of jagged cliffs against the Pacific Ocean. You can make a hike out of it or simply Uber/Lyft/Waymo to the lookout. This is a must-see!

The Painted Ladies

San Francisco, CA 94117

As featured on Full House. Grab a coffee and pastry from The Mill, find a spot in Alamo Square, and daydream about Uncle Jesse -- we know you still have a crush on him...

the presidio

Lover's Lane, San Francisco, CA 94129

The Presidio is a national park in the middle of the city -- and also where we're getting married! Lined with magnificent California Redwoods, the Presidio is home to many trails (check out Lover's Lane!) and offers amazing views of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Fisherman's Wharf

San Francisco, CA

It's a bit touristy, but if you've never been to San Francisco, spend some time in Fisherman's Wharf -- a fun area along the water with lots of restaurants, shops, and seals (yes, live seals!).

Ghirardelli Square

900 North Point Street, San Francisco, CA 94109

You'll feel like you stepped into Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory!

Mission Dolores Park

19th Street, San Francisco, CA 94114

Arguably San Francisco's most iconic park, featuring palm trees, lots of pups, and an unobstructed view of the skyline.

Chinatown

San Francisco, CA

Boba and dim sum -- what more could you ask for...?

San Francisco Trollies

Hitch a ride on one of San Francisco's iconic trollies and catch picturesque views of the city!

our favorite city hike

Download the AllTrails app on your phone (it's free!) and search for "Upper Market Stairway Walks." This 4.5-mile hike takes you up and down hidden staircases to some of the best views in the city, including Tank Hill, Kite Hill, and Corona Heights.

Alcatraz Island

San Francisco, CA

Head to Pier 33 to start your journey to the country's most infamous prison. You can board a boat with Alcatraz City Cruises and take a self-guided walking tour once you're on the island.

Restaurants

From hole in the wall to upscale dining, this list has it all! Some require reservations, others are walk-in -- do a bit of research and plan accordingly. Eat up! The Progress, State Bird Provisions, Che Fico, Poesia, Nopa, Foreign Cinema, Spruce, Burma Superstar, Teakwood, Copra, CQ Noodles, Mama Ji's, Mamanoko, The Tailor's Son, Lolinda, Dumpling Home, A Mano, Rich Table, Beit Rima, Penny Roma, Flour + Water, Mijote, Aziza, Thanh Long, Hook Fish, Ben Thai, Dancing Yak, Z&Y, Khao Tiew.
