John, born in Arizona, was Kevin's roommate for the first 2 years of graduate school and is the most likely member of the wedding party to try and steal Kevin for himself. Great scientist, better DM, best man.

Kira met Anja on a backpacking trip after their freshman year, she quickly became Anja's go-to girlfriend for a last minute adventure or a Coupa coffee break. Her incredibly well-behaved dog Cinnamon is Kona's role model (or so we hope). Ask her about any outdoor activity!
Jesse Shapiro

Jesse met Anja and Kevin on the Stanford rock climbing team, but now they spend more time drinking wine together than climbing walls... can't really complain... Ask him about his new adorable kitties!

Corey is in the same PhD program as Kevin, but after Anja learned of her love of rock climbing, wine, and all things puppy she stole her away as a friend for herself. Most importantly, she is Kona's unofficial godmother. Ask her about her entire barrel of bourbon!

Sahar is Anja's office mate and work wife. Not only have she and Anja co-published some amazing science, she is also the world's best puppy-sitter and the only reason Anja has stayed sane all these years (or at least as sane as she is...). Ask her about why you should get an instant pot!

DJ is Anja's older brother and ultimate protector and has made it super duper clear that Kevin is on a short leash and he is willing to take him out at any moment. Ask him about soccer!

Katie is Kevin's older sister and has never gotten over the fact that Kevin was a boy instead of a girl as first reported on his amniocentesis. Anja has 28 years of sisterhood to make up for starting August 1st! Ask her about offshore wind!

Peace, better known as Bubbi, is Anja's younger brother. His goofy and uncoordinated demeanor was the first preparation Anja had for living with a puppy. Ask him about Fortnite or whatever the kids are into these days!
