We met at the Stanford climbing gym where Anja convinced Kevin, who had just arrived on campus, to join the club climbing team to meet friends. We hit it off right away and began spending more and more time together. But who wooed who as we began dating remains an open and on-going debate (as does our 'anniversary' date!).

We've always been a team, so when it came time to think about getting engaged it only felt natural that it would be a team decision. We knew we wanted our families involved so we planned a fun weekend get-away to bring our parents together and celebrate! We don't think we surprised anyone with our news... but it has been so amazing getting to share our excitement for this next adventure with all of you!

Our nearly five years together have been full of shared adventures from spending 3 weeks in Thailand after dating for less than 6 months to getting to know our way around the local emergency rooms. We have created an amazing life together full of good coffee, wine, and cooking surrounded by our sweet kitty and amazing new puppy! We feel truly lucky to have such amazing and supportive family and friends to share in our next chapter.

We can't wait to celebrate with you all in July! We know it will be worth the wait!
