Shoes: You will be walking on grass, dirt, and gravel, so please wear appropriate shoes. There will be a 0.25-mile walk from the parking to the ceremony site and the same walk back to the reception area, and we will be dancing/standing for a large portion of the night; wear comfortable shoes or bring shoes you can change into. For your own safety, no stilettos. Clothes: Historically the average temperature should be a high of 75 and a low of 54 per Weather.com. We will be either outside in a grassy area or in a barn area with no air conditioning that is open to the elements. Consider applying sunscreen, bringing a light sweater for the evening, an umbrella, and/or a change of clothes if you get too sweaty. Formality/Style: The dress style is semi-formal, with most women wearing knee-length dresses or longer and men wearing suits or nice shirts and pants. But it's your day too! We want you to be comfortable and legitimately will not think about whatever clothing choices you make. The color scheme of the wedding is blue if you'd like to match.
Mission BBQ is catering our dinner. We will have pulled pork, beef brisket, and smoked salmon for mains; smashed (russet) potatoes, whipped mashed sweet potato, and mac and cheese for sides; and salad for everyone. For dessert, we will have mini peach cobbler cups.
Please include your food restriction on your RSVP. We should have collected this information already, but it can never hurt to double check.
Someone at the venue will direct you when you arrive. You will drive on a gravel road up to the venue and will likely park on the grass.
