Powell's is a popular choice among Oregon natives and visitors alike--us included! We personally love Powell's for their vast selection of manga and tabletop RPG rulebooks.
I'm a little obsessed with boba, and MILK+T takes it a step further by adding ice cream to their drinks! They have a great selection of drinks and toppings, including vegan and dairy-sensitive options! -Amber
This is another great local option for boba! Their menu frequently rotates through lots of unique flavors and they can make any drink vegan/dairy-free.
You guessed it--more boba. This place is a hidden gem and is gonna give you the best bang for your buck! They have tons of flavors/customization options, they're delicious, and the average price of a drink is about $7. At this point, Fantastea House has become a weekly stop for us. If you're not sure about what to try, go for the rose milk tea!
Ikenohana is a cozy little Japanese restaurant and an absolute gem. We recommend trying the Katsudon, it's amazing!
Retro Game Trader features the largest selection of retro (and modern) games in Oregon. They carry games for consoles as far back as the NES all the way up to the Switch. A must for nerds!
Rainy Day is a great stop for all things board games. They carry classic board games, party games, tabletop games, and even D&D mini-figures!
This is one of our favorite date spots. Say hi to the elephants for us!
This is an extra special date spot for us. Tucked away in Downtown Portland, Ground Kontrol is a combination bar + arcade with a retro theme and tons of classic arcade games like Pac-Man and Dig Dug!
The Portland Rose Garden was where we went on one of our first dates and holds a very dear place in our hearts. 100% worth it for the smell alone. ❤︎
