Welcome to our wedding website – we're so glad you could make it! We’ve created this website as a helpful resource for all of the need-to-know details in the lead up to our big day. Ben and I first met in 2020 over a mutual interest in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. On the first day we played together, I ran over to greet him at the little airport in-game where he arrived on my island, and we spent a minute greeting each other by running in circles and spamming emotes at each other. Very romantic, I know. After running around and playing for a few minutes, I remember being surprised by the little voice chat icon popping up in game and hearing something from Ben. I wasn't sure if he intended to use voice chat while we played, but I turned mine on anyway just to be polite and said hello. He sounded shocked to hear me and responded with, "Uh.. Hello?" It turns out he'd accidentally turned on voice chat on his end, and he was mortified when he realized he had it on. Despite his apologies, I assured him I didn't mind voice chat since it would let us talk comfortably instead of spending half our time typing our little messages to each other in-game. It wasn't long before we'd all but abandoned the game in favor or letting our characters stand idle while carried conversation after conversation. We talked for hours upon hours, chatting with ease as though we'd already been friends for years and were simply catching up after a brief period of being apart. It was so incredibly easy to talk to Ben--little did I know our connection would continue to grow into something beautiful. --Amber
