FAQs

If you have any other questions than what's listed here, please reach out to us at our wedding email kesslermansfieldwedding@gmail.com or Amber's cell, (503) 580-7128.
Question

What's the Covid-19/illness policy?

Answer

For the safety of everyone in attendance, we ask that anyone sick MUST stay home. Guests that arrive at the venue while sick will not be allowed in and asked to leave. We also ask that guests who are not vaccinated against Covid-19 wear a mask at all times unless seated to eat or socially distanced outside.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids (tell them hi for us!)--however, due to the nature of our venue we feel that it's not safe/appropriate for children under the age of 13. Camp Colton is an 85-acre forested venue with strong currents and winding hiking trails that pose a great risk of getting injured and/or lost to children, and we would prefer not to endanger your little ones. We hope you take this as an opportunity to enjoy a date night--we appreciate you making prior arrangements.

Question

Are infants an exception to the 13+ rule?

Answer

Unfortunately, no. With accommodation/safety concerns in mind, we ask that infants stay home. We completely understand if you cannot make it as a result.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if you asked us before the RSVP deadline.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? Can I still come if I don't RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than July 6th. We're accepting RSVPs exclusively via our website and/or phone, so you won't have to worry about mailing anything to us in time. Please refer to your RSVP card for further instructions. We will need a final headcount of our guests roughly a month before the wedding so our vendors know exactly how many guests to prepare food/chairs/etc. for. If we do not hear from you by the RSVP deadline, we will assume your answer is "no" and we sadly will not be able to accommodate you at the wedding.

Question

Can I change my RSVP after I've already done it?

Answer

As long as you let us know before the RSVP deadline, absolutely! We understand plans can change unexpectedly, so you're not locked into a yes or no answer as soon as you RSVP the first time. Just give us a call at our wedding number or update your answer in our RSVP section and we'll be happy to update our guest list accordingly. If you RSVP "no" but end up being able to attend, PLEASE let us know before the RSVP deadline or we will not be able to accommodate you! If you RSVP "yes" but end up being unable to attend, it just means we'll have an extra seat or two and a little extra food at the wedding. No harm done!

Question

What's the Dress Code?

Answer

Baseline: Semi-Formal. We know it's probably going to be hot during the ceremony, so we want you to be comfortable first and foremost. However, you're more than welcome to dress even fancier if you like! (Fantasy-themed attire gets an extra star of approval from us, so don't be afraid to get a little creative!)

Question

Does your wedding have a theme?

Answer

Yes! Guests are under no obligation to adhere to our theme, but if you would like to dress according to our colors/theme, here's the gist of it: Colors: Moody Jewel Tones (ex: burgundy, eggplant, forest green) & Soft Earthy Tones (ex: sage green, dusty rose, various shades of brown) Themes: Romantic fantasy, dark yet whimsical, mildly inspired by medieval fantasy (think of elves!), and a dash of celestial elements

Question

Have you booked hotel room blocks for guests?

Answer

Since our wedding will be on the smaller side, we've chosen not to reserve hotel blocks for our guests. However, we've offered plenty of lodging suggestions and general travel information in the Travel section of our website, so feel free to give that a look if you're not sure about where to stay.

Question

Will you be live streaming your ceremony for guests who can't attend?

Answer

As much as we'd love to, we don't have the proper equipment for live streaming our ceremony. We'll miss you and be thinking of you, but our big day is exclusively an in-person event.

Question

Can I take pictures or videos during the ceremony?

Answer

It's awesome that you want to help us capture our big day! However, we want everyone to be fully present for this special moment in our lives and ask that phones, cameras, and other electronic devices are turned off/silent and put away for the duration of the ceremony. We'll have two professional photographers on site the whole day, so don't worry about missing out on photos. We'll make sure to send you the album after the wedding! The reception, on the other hand, is an entirely different story. Please feel free to take as many photos and videos as you like! We'd love it if you shared them with us too--the more memories the better!

Question

Can I post wedding photos on social media?

Answer

So long as you tag us or use our wedding hashtag, sure! #bunnyandbee2023

Question

Will there be parking available?

Answer

Yes! Camp Colton has paved and gravel lots for (free) parking. For guests who need mobility assistance, the venue offers staffed golf carts to get you to and from your vehicle. The golf carts will also be available to move you from the ceremony space to the reception hall.

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early, but please arrive no more than 20 minutes early to the venue. If you arrive too early, some of our vendors may still be finalizing some things in the ceremony space, and we don't want you standing out in the heat while you wait to be seated.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the wedding party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception area for cocktail hour where we will be serving snacks and beverages.

Question

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

All wedding events will be taking place outdoors, with the exception dinner and dessert, which will be indoors (with air conditioning!). However, our ceremony and reception spaces offer plenty of shaded areas so you won't be melting under the sun the whole day. Even if it ends up being hot, the surrounding forest and streams ensure that the venue will always feel 10 degrees cooler than the actual temperature, so please plan for the weather accordingly.

Question

Can I bring my gift to the wedding?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, there will be a gift table for your convenience, as well as a box for cards.

Question

What's on the menu?

Answer

During Cocktail Hour and Dinner, we'll have a fun selection of Appetizers: Fruit & Vegetable Platter Caprese Platter Stuffed Portobello Mushrooms For Dinner, we'll have a buffet table with the following Entrées: Mac & Cheese + Toppings Bar Chicken Parmesan w/ Spaghetti Pasta Vegan Mediterranean Penne For Dessert, you'll get to indulge on a variety of sweets: Chocolate & Vanilla Marble Cake Chocolate Chip Cookies Brownie Bites w/ Semi-Sweet Ganache Wells Vegan Lemon Bars Cinnamon Roll Macarons Strawberry Macarons ...and 12 flavors of Cotton Candy! We'll also have our signature cocktails available in addition to the open bar: HONEY BUNNY - Peach Schnapps + Vodka + Peach Juice, sweetened with Honey Syrup + Vanilla Simple Syrup, splashed with Lime, rimmed with Coarse Sugar GALICK GUN - Vodka + Coconut Rum + Peach Schnapps + Blue Curacao, flavored with Grenadine & Strawberry Lemonade

Question

Will I need to bring cash for the bar?

Answer

Cash won't be necessary as we'll be having an open bar (please drink responsibly), but the bartender will have a tip jar out, so if you feel like he's doing a great job, feel free to show your appreciation with a cash tip!

Question

What should I do if I have dietary restrictions or other special needs?

Answer

Fill out our guest survey! It doesn't take too long and tells us exactly what accommodations you'll need during the festivities. Use the link below to access the survey (you may need to copy and paste): https://forms.gle/6WDRpAjtsqbwork1A
