Staying in Silverton

Silverton is very small. There are no large chain hotels, but there are a handful of small inns and Airbnbs. We have provided info on some of our favorite hotels below.

Train

Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railway

If you fly into Durango, you can arrive to Silverton via diesel or steam train. If you book a round trip ticket, you can ride into Silverton for the wedding festivities and take the train back to Durango within 5 days for no additional costs. Enjoy a scenic 3 and 1/2 hour ride through the San Juan National Forest and Animas River valley. Tickets will go on sale in February 2026 and cost ~$110.

For our families, if you're looking for a quieter stay, the historic Alma House is next to the Avon. We do not have a room block here - book directly with them for the best price.

The Wyman is the swankiest hotel in town and is also the closest to our venue. And by closest, we mean one block closer than all the other hotels. We do not have a room block here - book directly with them for the best price.

If you're into a good ghost story, the Grand Imperial is the oldest hotel in town. Locals have it on good authority that this place is VERY haunted. We do not have a room block here - book directly with them for the best price.
