Coffee Bear has good coffee, pastries, and breakfast burritos. Plus, go all the way upstairs to sit on the rooftop patio and get views of our venue, Kendall Mountain.
The Wyman hotel has a small bar and serves great lattes. This is my preferred cup of coffee in Silverton!

If coming north from Montrose, you'll pass through one of our favorite towns, Ouray. We love Box Canyon Falls, Ouray Books & the Ouray Brewery. You can also try booking a guide service for the Ouray Via Ferrata if you're brave!
If you have time to kill in Durango and are a museum nerd like us, visit the Durango Wildlife Museum and Fish Hatchery. Learn more about Colorado's wildlife and feed the growing trout before they're sent all over the state to stock rivers and lakes.
If you're flying into or driving through Montrose, check a national park off your list and visit the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. 1 hour and 40 minutes north of Silverton.
If you're flying or driving through Durango, Mesa Verde National Park is one hour west of Durango. View some of the oldest established settlements in the entire country. 2 hours and 15 minutes south of Silverton.
