When we pictured our perfect wedding, it involved all of our favorite people together in one place for the weekend. We both envisioned getting married in a beautiful place in the mountains. So we quickly realized that getting married in St. Louis wasn’t quite the dream wedding for us. We began searching all over the U.S. for a venue that would allow us to have the perfect weekend surrounded by our loved ones. When we found Hawkesdene, we immediately knew this was where we wanted to get married. Hawkesdene provides a private, beautiful estate to craft the perfect weekend for ourselves, Lilly Quinn, and all of our closest friends and family. We hope that you will all love it as much as we do. We know that it is a big ask to travel for our wedding, and that may limit some of our guests from coming. Your invitation is a token of the bride and groom’s love for you, and with it comes no expectation to travel. We look forward to you being a part of our lives in the exciting years to come, and we will continue to celebrate our marriage with our friends and family who are unable to attend.
Due to limited space at our venue, we can only accommodate those formally invited on the invitation. If you received a plus one, it will be noted on the save the date, the invitation, and the RSVP.
We love your little ones! However, due to limited space at our venue, only children who call us “Aunt Kelsey” and “Uncle Kenny” are invited to our wedding weekend. Their names will be on the save the date, the wedding invitation, and the RSVP. Otherwise, this is an adults only event.
The bride and groom have reserved the entire estate for the weekend. Your room has already been reserved. You will be placed in a cottage with other people that you know once you RSVP to our wedding through Hawkesdene’s website. Your RSVP will also serve as your accommodation reservation. Instructions on how to RSVP will be included in the wedding invitation to follow. We anticipate the reservation will cost $300-400 per person for the entire weekend. This includes your room, food, drinks, and activities from the time you step onto the property until you depart. The only additional cost to you will be transportation getting to and from Hawkesdene.
- Thursday Welcome Dinner: Casual— feel free to wear jeans, shorts, summer dresses, whatever you jump out of the car in upon arrival, etc. - Friday Fun Day: athletic attire— we will be doing yoga, kickball, relay races, and have a hike to the Hawkesnest. There are short breaks between activities, where you can feel free to change clothes if you would like. We recommend having sneakers for the kickball game, relay races, and hike. The hike is considered “easy”, so no need to bring hiking boots. There will be rides available to the top for those who would like to join but are unable to hike. - Friday Rehearsal Dinner: Dressy Casual— sundresses, cocktail dresses, jumpsuits, dress shirts and khakis, - Saturday Ceremony, Cocktail hour, and Reception: Semi Formal— cocktail dresses, maxi dresses, dress shirts and ties, sport coats, suits. Keep in mind there is a short walk on a gravel road from the ceremony to the cocktail hour and reception venue. If you plan to wear heels, bring along a pair of sandals for the walk and for dancing the night away!
