Travel from Puerto Vallarta Airport to Punta de Mita

Getting to Punta Mita from the Puerto Vallarta Airport is an easy 30-45 minute drive. Renting a car is not necessary, especially since the best way to get around Punta de Mita village is by golf cart or foot. Booking a car service ahead of time is critical. Please add your arrival/departure times and contact other guests to see if you can carpool together. Approx cost for transportation is ~$100USD 1 way. Private Villa or Condo

Private residences are the ideal option to ensure you are able to enjoy all Punta Mita has to offer. If you are looking for a larger group to stay with please contact Lee or Kenley and we can connect you with some other guests. VRBO (some on Airbnb) has many options, but not all owners list their residences on these platforms. There are other websites/property management companies you can book through. Search Punta Mita Rentals on google. If you need additional assistance or have a specific question/property in mind please contact our Property Manager Edgar. He can share options with you in your price range and bedroom count. He knows the area very well and can help with anything you may need. February is also considered high season, so the best villas/condos will book quickly!

Both hotels are inside the gates of Punta Mita, you can rent a golf cart and store it at the front desk if you'd like to go into town (5 minute drive). You will not have access to the other facilities outside your hotel (beach clubs).

Punta Mita Surf Lodge & ONDA Surf Hotel

Some other more cost-effective options, are these hotels located in Punta de Mita village. You will not have access inside the gates (Punta Mita) staying here. But, we can still arrange to meet you somewhere for transportation to/from the wedding. There are great restaurants within walking distance of this hotel and it's very close to the beach! BluePillow.com, Airbnb, and VRBO will also have rentals in Punta de Mita village February is high season, so we recommend booking as early as possible.

Golf Cart Rental: EZ CARTS

We recommend having a golf cart during your stay in Punta Mita. It is the best way to get around inside the gates to the various beach clubs and it's also the best way to get to the village. Golf carts are allowed inside the gates and on the main roads in Punta de Mita Village. Do not drive your golf cart down highways.
