We're Getting Married

We first met at work! We both had recently accepted jobs working for Life Time Fitness' corporate office, and Kody had just made the move from Kansas City to Colorado. Like the beginning of all romantic stories, we got laid off together from those jobs, but it was worth it in the end to have been brought into each other's lives as we most likely would have never crossed paths otherwise.

Needing a change of scenery after the first year of living in a Covid bubble, we took off to the mountains in December of 2020 for an Airbnb stay in Buena Vista, one of our favorite parts of Colorado. The elements were on our side on New Years Eve Day, as we took a snowy yet sunny hike up a local trail on a beautiful bluebird Winter day. At the top, overlooking the majestic Collegiate Peaks, Kody surprised Kelsey by getting down on one knee. After heading back down the mountain to FaceTime our families, we celebrated with craft beers (of course) on the patio of our favorite Salida brewery, Soulcraft Brewing.
