Welcome to our Newport Nuptials

One evening, Kelly was passing the time, and as most singletons do in this day and age, swiping left and right on dating prospects. With each failed Bumble date, Kelly grew more and more skeptical and selective. So, on this fateful night, Kelly was particularly fickle, first swiping left and then did a *shake back* to revive her future hubby-to-be. Kelly thought "NOT another PATS fan ughhh" and also thought maybe mom wouldn't love all the tattoos. But then, Kelly had a moment of panic, thinking I don't know, he seems to be adventurous, friendly, family-oriented, and handsome (obviously). Once she did the shake back, with Ronnie’s right swipe on deck, K&R were immediately connected, scheduled their first date a week later, and the rest is history. Kelly and Ronnie knew they couldn't resist what was meant to be.

On a family trip to Aruba in January 2020, Ronnie popped the question. Even if Kelly had suspicions about the fact that this would happen during the trip, Kelly did NOT anticipate how it would happen. Although Kelly was certified in scuba, Ronnie had never been. Kelly thought, there is no way Ronnie would attempt a proposal underwater for the first time. True to form, Ronnie's adventurous and can-do spirit pulled through and he did just that. So, 50 feet under, Ronnie presented Kelly with a "will you marry me?" sign. Luckily, he did not bring the ring underwater! Ronnie officially got down on one knee once they were back on the boat deck. Once back on land, Ronnie's family met us at the beach with celebratory champagne and snacks. Kelly and Ronnie enjoyed a romantic dinner on the beach after.
