If you are traveling from the United States, you can book flights that layover in LA or Taiwan, and stop in Singapore. Some of the layovers in Singapore might be long, depends on the flight you purchase. If you want to explore and have a couple days break after your long flight, adding an extra day or two in Singapore is a good idea. Most (if not all) flights from the US will always stop in Singapore before going to Bali. Another option is to fly into Jakarta and fly to Bali from there.

Transportation & Area Overview

The Jeeva Saba Estate is approximately a 45 minute drive from the main tourist areas in Kuta and Seminyak and a 30 minute drive from Ubud. Transportation: The link above gives you an estimate of the cost of a cab ride from the airport to the different areas in Bali. It is safest if you book and pay for the taxi at the counter within the airport; even though you are paying (slightly) more, you won't have to deal with drivers trying to take advantage of you or haggle about price. If you are arriving with a group and would like to arrange for an airport pickup from your hotel/place of stay, you can do that too, let me know if you'd like to do this. Also, check with your hotel to see if they provide complementary airport pick up! Accommodation: We recommend staying in Sanur or Ubud area. These areas are beautiful and relatively close, easily accessible from the airport and easy transportation to the wedding venue as well. Below are some recommendations for places to stay in Bali.

This villa is close to the villa that we rented for the wedding event. The space is beautiful too! It is located in Gianyar, and there are a variety of types of rooms—Terrace Suite, Garden Suite, Family Suite. The price is on a higher price point, about $127/night for two people. But it is close to the venue and a bit more secluded from crowded tourist areas.

This is an example of Airbnb options that guests can look into. This one is a room in a bed and breakfast for 2 guests. 1 bedroom, 1 bed, 1 private bath. Located in Seminyak, close to double six beach. $46/night. Seminyak is a beach resort area at the southern end of Bali, Indonesia, lots of restaurants, shops, bars and clubs with busy sunset scenes. It is north of Kuta; beaches that are west-facing the Indian Ocean shoreline with gray sand and good surfing conditions.
