We're getting married!

The first time that I actually remember meeting him was during a rafting trip that we went on together in 2014. He picked me up from my place and drove us to the river. There must have been 60 or so people there. I remember being nervous and excited to go float on the rafts that summer. To be honest, I'm not sure how or at what point in that day I started liking him. When I started feeling the heat in my face, I chalked it up to the summer heat. And when my heart was beating faster, I assigned it to the rush of rafting in the river. To be continued...

The proposal happened on a semi-sunny Sunday, on one of our favorite hills in Portland. Earlier that day we were just lounging at home; laying around in bed. Odai then suggested we go up to OHSU hills to do our scenic drive, walk around and look at our dream houses—it's a thing that we both do on the weekend sometimes. >_< I didn't think it was weird or out of the ordinary since we've been up there several times before. When we got there, we walked around the park 3 times; and at that point, I was wondering why he was acting so weird. Normally, we would not be hanging around in that spot for as long as we did. He is the type of person that gets bored sitting still looking at nature. But still I didn't suspect anything. Then all of a sudden, when we were in the center, at the peak of the hill, he takes my hand and starts spilling out words: 'baby, you're amazing, you're awesome; omg, I'm so bad at this'. And got down on one knee. He then struggled (briefly) to pull out the box, popped it open; and the most beautiful ring together with the words 'will you marry me' was all I heard. I was so surprised I didn't even know what I was saying, if I said anything. It was such a whirlwind, and I am so happy it happened the way it did. Everything was so sweet, unexpected and so Odai to the core. I couldn't ask for a better man to answer 'yes' to. =)
