Many hotels in Baltimore are clustered around the Inner Harbor and downtown areas, which are the main tourist areas of Baltimore and have attractions like the aquarium, Camden Yards, and access to highways and transit. Harbor East is also home to plenty of hotels, plus lots of options for shopping, food, and bars, with more around the corner in Fell's Point. North of downtown is Mt. Vernon, which has some of our favorite hotels in the city (see our accommodations & travel tab!), as well as museums, restaurants, and three of Kelly's old apartments. For a more neighborhood feel, Hampden is just up the street from our venue; hotels are limited but Airbnbs or other rentals may be available.
We did unfortunately plan our wedding on the same day as the Baltimore Running Festival, which shuts down a significant number of main roads in Baltimore. If you're staying in the Inner Harbor, plan for a lot of crowds! Many of the roads are re-opened by mid-afternoon, but plan to give yourself a little bit of extra time to get to events over the course of the weekend, and know that parking options may also be limited. More specific information about road closures can be found here: https://www.thebaltimoremarathon.com/race-resources/community/road-closure-info/
We love everyone's kids, but they don't tend to do well at weddings, so we're planning for an adults-only party. If this is an issue, please get in touch with us!
Depending on how many people are planning to drive, we will have either valet parking at the venue or parking nearby with a very short shuttle ride. Please let us know if you are planning to drive (it’s a question on your RSVP) so we can plan accordingly!
