We love the Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum because it celebrates the incredible glass art that local artist Dale Chihuly is famous for worldwide. It’s a colorful and unique way to spend a few hours, right next to the iconic Space Needle!

Pike Place Market

A visit to Pike Place Market is a must while you’re in Seattle. Wander through for fresh oysters and seafood, and if you plan ahead, you can grab reservations at spots like The Pink Door or Maximilien. Check out iconic local stops for chowder, Rachel's Ginger Beer, pastries, and other market favorites!

Washington Park Arboretum

Ballard Farmers Market (Sunday)

We highly recommend spending Sunday morning exploring the Ballard Farmers Market before getting ready for the festivities! Open year-round (9AM-2PM), this beloved neighborhood market is full of local flowers, food stands, fresh pastries, seasonal produce, and handmade goods. We walk to the market almost every Sunday, and it's a perfect way to enjoy our neighborhood before the celebration begins.

Incredible Vietnamese food with multiple locations, it’s our go-to for pho, chicken wings, crispy rolls, and especially the rockfish vermicelli.

Liberty Bar

Sushi and cocktails! A cozy cocktail bar known for creative drinks and surprisingly great sushi, perfect for a late-night bite or happy hour.

Tacos Chukis

Walk upstairs to find this hole-in-the-wall taco joint. Known for their flavorful tacos and salsas, it’s a favorite spot for a quick bite or late-night snack.

Frankie & Jo's (Capitol Hill)

Ice cream! Stop by Frankie & Jo’s for creamy, plant-based, gluten-free ice cream made locally with seasonal flavors. Multiple locations. Some other notable spots for local ice cream include: Molly Moon's, Fainting Goat, and Salt & Straw.

Joule

Joule is a Kelfi favorite in the Fremont/Wallingford neighborhood. A korean-inspired steakhouse, known for its inventive small plates and bold, flavor-driven dishes meant for sharing. Pro tip: head to Gas Works Park afterwards for downtown Seattle views.
