FAQs

Question

How do I get around the city?

Answer

Rideshare apps (Uber, Lyft), public transportation, or renting a car are your best options! Rideshares can be expensive (think: ~$80 Uber/Lyft from SeaTac airport to downtown vs Light Rail and Bus $3.00 (adult), $1.00 (Senior discount)). Seattle has a robust and convenient public transportation system, so follow the information below to get around the city smoothly. Ticket purchasing information- For Link Light Rail (1 Line): purchase ticket at kiosk before entering train OR Download "Transit Go" app > Buy Tickets > Train (Mode of Travel) > Link Line 1 & 2 (Route) > Add to Cart your choice (Adult One-Way or Day Pass) For Bus: Download "Transit Go" app > Buy Tickets > Bus (Mode of Travel) > King County Metro (Agency) > Add to Cart your choice (Adult One-Way or Day Pass) Schedules for train and bus: Google Maps or download the "OneBusAway" app to get up-to-date travel information on public transportation.

Question

Can I Bring a Date?

Answer

To maintain an intimate celebration and stay within our venue’s capacity, we can only accommodate the guests named on each invitation. Thank you so much for your understanding.

Question

Can I bring my Kids?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We appreciate you making arrangements in advance and hope you enjoy a fun night out with us! For those traveling (and local!) with children, we can help arrange childcare through a trusted local service A List Nanny Services (www.alistnannyservices.com). For this option- please message us directly as soon as possible so we can coordinate a group service for events during the weekend.

Question

Can I Smoke or Vape at the venues?

Answer

No. All of our venues do not allow smoking or vaping on the premises.

Question

Why is the wedding on a Sunday?

Answer

Seattle is a popular wedding destination in the summer months, and by the time we fell in love with our venue (the 1929 retired wooden ferry boat, MV Skansonia), the only dates left in the summer were two Sundays! We chose Sunday 9/27/26 because it's exactly 1 year after Kofi proposed to Kelly. We feel lucky to have access to this venue in our home city, and can't wait to share it with you!

Question

Is this worth turning into a longer trip?

Answer

We highly recommend it! Seattle and the surrounding Pacific Northwest are world-renowned for a reason. Between the city’s iconic waterfront, markets, and food scene, and the fact that within a couple of hours you can reach places like Olympic National Park, North Cascades National Park, and Mount Rainier National Park, this is a destination people plan entire trips around. If you have the time, we highly recommend making a longer trip out of our wedding.

Question

Am I invited to the Friday Event?

Answer

Only those who have received an explicit Save the Date invitation from Kelly and Kofi are invited to their rehearsal dinner and ceremony at the Corson Building. You will also see this reflected in the events to which you can RSVP. If you're in Seattle on Friday night, we hope you have a wonderful time exploring what the city has to offer! We are more than happy to provide you with specific restaurant or activity recommendations if needed.
