Yes! You need a rental car to get around the island. Please booked in advance as cars are not available upon arrival.

Puerto Rico has micro climates but is tropical year round with sunshine, humidity, and scattered showers. Please plan to bring sunblock, hats, sunglasses, bug spray and maybe a rain jacket if you plan on hiking El Yunque rainforest.

What airport should we fly into?

Answer

Please map out other plans for your vacation as this will likely determine the best option for you. Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) in San Juan--is about 2 hours from Villa Montaña but has more flights, rental cars available, and is a beautiful area to explore. Rafael Hernandez Airport (BQN) in Aguadilla is about 20 minute drive to Villa Montaña and Rincon.
