The Wedding Ceremony & Reception will be held directly next door to The Westin Cozumel at Playa Azul Hotel. We will begin our stay at Playa Azul Hotel on Tuesday, April 19th. Wedding Week Festivities will begin Wednesday, April 20th. The wedding block discount code for The Westin has expired but rooms are still available to book without the discounted rate. Flying to Cozumel Mexico Airport (airport code CZM)

The time has come for flights to be booked soon (if not already booked). Due to airline industry still recovering from COVID-19 aftermath, flight flexibility is still limited at this time. Flying from Southern CA to Cozumel seems to have longer than usual and/or multiple layovers and is a more expensive option. Total travel time should not exceed 12 hours. We prefer to use Google Flights to look at various airlines availability. For example, Google airport code SAN to CZM and choose dates to see availability. While we prefer to fly directly into Cozumel, Cancun is also a great option! See FAQs for more info on travel including how to get to Cozumel from Cancun.

We have traveled to Cozumel MANY times and are familiar with the various routes and ways to get to the island. While we find the easiest way to travel to Cozumel is to fly into the Cozumel airport there are other options. We will try to answer all travel related questions in the FAQ section of the website but feel free to reach out to us for specific travel questions.

Travel Note

Car Rental while staying on Cozumel

Cozumel is a drive-able island meaning you can drive around the entire island to experience various regions. If you choose to stay at either Playa Azul or The Westin, it is not necessary to rent a car as it is a close and inexpensive taxi to the downtown area for restaurants or nightlife. If you want to explore the island on your own, it is recommended to rent a car or scooter to do so. If you are staying at other locations around the island, it is highly recommended to rent a car for ease of travel around the island.
