Welcome Cocktail at Playa Azul Palapa Bar

We would love to kick off the official start to the wedding week by meeting at the Palapa Bar at Playa Azul at 5pm for a Welcome Cocktail. We can mingle, sip on a cocktail and watch the sunset together. We plan on having a few dinner reservations set at some of our favorite restaurants on the island. If you have arrived by this time and would like to join please let us know. This welcome cocktail at Playa Azul and group dinner in town is an optional event.

Diving/Snorkeling Boat Trip

Bathing suits, hats, sunscreen, rash guard or long sleeve cotton clothing (if sensitive to the sun)
We plan on taking out a boat for people to dive and snorkel off of. Cozumel has some of the best diving in the world! The time is fluid and will be updated once it is coordinated with the captain.
Rehearsal Evening Event at Buccanos
6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Outdoor Evening Beachy Cocktail Attire
We welcome all Guests to the Rehearsal Evening Event at Buccanos on Thursday, April 21st from 6pm-9pm (walking distance from both The Westin and Playa Azul). We look forward to an evening of mingling with guests as the sunsets while enjoying heavy appetizers and specialty cocktail drinks together. This cocktail style event will be on the downstairs deck of the property with seating/dining options under the open-air palapa as well as hi-top tables around the outdoor pool deck. We will be walking along the sand to this event from both The Westin and Playa Azul so please plan attire accordingly. There is an option to take very short taxi ride if needed. Please also note: pool deck is an uneven rock surface so keep in mind when making shoe decisions (stiletto heels are not a good idea but wedges or thicker heel should be okay).

Tour of the east side of Cozumel

We would like people to experience the East side of the island (aka the Wild Side - known for its stretch of sandy white beaches, turquoise water and beach casual restaurants in the sand). There are a few places to grab appetizers, drinks, or lunch along the route. This will be an activity to do on our own time. There are options to plan a guided tour of the East side (will provide info to book) with designated stops along the way or you can rent your own Jeep/scooter for the day to check out at your own pace. Our favorite spots on the East side are: Coconuts, Iguana's, Miami / 25 hour bar, Rasta's. You can pull over on the side of the road to park and walk out of any stretch of beach your heart desires! Definitely a much see and do on the island!

Beach Semi-Formal/Cocktail
Please dress in beach semi-formal/cocktail attire. Please keep in mind: the weather temperature and humidity play a factor while in the sun for ceremony. The reception is partially outdoor and in an open-air palapa with average temperature of 80 degrees at night. A light sweater or jacket may be necessary in the evening. Men: formal jackets are not required. Women: cocktail style dress is recommended. Some portions of the evening may be in the sand so plan shoe options accordingly.

Buccanos R & R Beach Club Day

Bathing Suits & Beach Cover-Ups
Feel free to join us at your leisure at Buccanos Beach Club on Saturday for a post-wedding R&R. We will have beach chairs and palapas reserved starting at 10am. Soak up the sun or sit in the shade under a palapa, snorkel out front in the ocean or play in the pool. Buccanos offers a delicious array of seafood and beach inspired appetizers and lunch as well as festive cocktails and refreshments. This will be the ultimate Relax and Recover Day in Paradise!
