Groom
Stuart grew up in Farmington Hills, MI and when it came time to decide where to attended college, he chose Michigan Tech. His love of ice hockey and attending the annual college hockey tournament in Detroit with his family watching Tech play drew him to the university. It was where he made many friends and picked up most of his favorite hobbies including snowboarding and with some encouragement from his roommates, mountain biking. After graduating he ended up at a small company called Revolutionary Engineering in the Metro Detroit area that specialized in automotive testing. Six years later and Stuart is still working there (now called UTAC) as a director in testing. In his free time he plays as much hockey as Kelly will put up with, enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, scuba diving and using every vacation day available to travel with his future wife and friends.
Kelly O'Hara
Bride
Kelly grew up in Traverse City, MI (if you ask Stuart there is another name for it) and enjoyed taking advantage of all the great things small town Northern Michigan had to offer. Unfortunately, one thing it did not offer was a university with an engineering program, so when college came around, Kelly decided to attend the University of Michigan-Dearborn and study Mechanical Engineering. While at U of M Kelly was an outfielder on the softball team, part of the airframe and propulsion crew on the rocket team and enjoyed meeting some of her closest friends during these days. After graduating, Kelly started working as a test engineer at Revolutionary Engineering (sound familiar?) and official made Metro Detroit home. Nowadays, Kelly is working at SKF as a test engineer and in her free time she enjoys playing and coaching softball, falling down on a snowboard, playing pickleball and volleyball, visiting family in her hometown and traveling to as many tropical islands as Stuart will tolerate.
