We recommend booking early since the wedding is over Labor Day Weekend. We have reserved room blocks at both the Statler Hotel and the Ithaca Best Western, both of which are on or near Cornell's campus. There are also great options in downtown Ithaca if you'd like to be in walking distance of shops and restaurants. If you're planning to book accommodations as group, there are some beautiful properties available to rent through AirBnB or similar sites. Additionally, Cortland (30 minutes from Ithaca) and Elmira/Horseheads (45 minutes from Ithaca) have a lot of affordable hotel options.
John Joseph Inn, our wedding venue, has just a few rooms that the Bride, Groom, and select family members will be staying in.
Our venue is a country inn with beautiful scenery where both the ceremony and reception will take place. It's an outdoor ceremony, with a cocktail hour in the garden, followed by a tented reception.
It is not a black tie wedding, so no need to wear formal gowns or tuxes. For ladies, we suggest cocktail attire, long or short dresses are both good. Suits are suggested for gentleman, but note that it may be warm at the end of August. The ceremony will be held on the lawn so please keep that in mind when choosing footwear.
Please let us know if you have someone special in your life that wasn't already listed on your invitation.
We have a few events surrounding the wedding: Welcome drinks on Friday night, a Sunday Picnic Brunch and a wine tour Sunday afternoon. Check out the schedule page for more details
