Frye Island is reached by the Frye Island Ferry from 1 Ferry Landing Road, Raymond, ME 04071. The ferry runs 7 AM–10 PM, departs every 15–30 minutes, and the crossing takes about 7 minutes. No reservations needed. The ferry costs $40 round-trip (with discounts available). During the summer, there are extended hours: Sunday-Thursday 7 AM - 10 PM, Friday-Saturday 7 AM - 12 AM.
Airports:
Fly into Portland International Jetport (PWM), about 35 minutes from the ferry landing. Boston Logan (BOS) is roughly 2.5 hours away. We recommend renting a car — it's essential for reaching the ferry.
Where to Stay:
Airbnb and Vrbo rentals are the best option on Frye Island itself, with other options in Raymond and along Lake Sebago for boat pick-up by yours truly. There are no hotels on the island. The closest option is the Lakeview Inn in Naples, ME — a charming B&B about 20 minutes from the ferry (lakeviewinnmaine.com). Hotels in Portland are 35–40 minutes away.
