What's the weather like on Frye Island?

Answer

Summer on Sebago Lake is beautiful — expect temperatures in the mid-70s to low 80s during the day. Evenings can cool down, so bring a light layer. As with any New England day, a passing shower is always possible!

Are there accommodations on the island?

Answer

There are no hotels on Frye Island, but vacation rentals are available through Airbnb and Vrbo. We recommend booking early if you'd like to stay on-island. Otherwise, the Lakeview Inn in Naples and hotels in the Portland area are great mainland options.

How do I get to the island?

Answer

The Frye Island Ferry is the only way to access the island (unless you have your own boat!). The ferry departs from 1 Ferry Landing Road in Raymond, ME. It runs from 7 AM to 9 PM and the ride takes about 7 minutes. WARNING: It costs $40 round trip

Will there by an open bar?

Answer

The meal (and drinking) will be BBQ/Family-style. BYOB. However, there is only a General Store on the Island with limited options for groceries. We recommend stopping at Hannafords on the drive over!.

Attire: The men will be in black and the women in white, but we welcome you to wear whichever color feels right for you. p.s. save your shorts for the beach and your jeans for the rest of the week
