When we met in medical school, we discovered that we shared a mutual love of film. After a few trips to the theater, we had so much fun that we made it a goal to watch 100 movies together before we graduated from medical school—thinking that we would graduate and part ways. Little did we know that over the course of those hundred movies, we would discover many other mutual interests, fall in love and commit to a lifetime of watching movies together!

We were engaged on November 10, 2018 in Jessup, MD. We had a small Vietnamese engagement ceremony (lễ đính hôn) at the Vu family home. Our friend from medical school, Arya, presented a ring featuring a stone he had designed and cut himself! It was a day full of blessings and warmth.

On a sunny porch in Minneapolis, Minnesota, we got married in the presence of our closest family members. The gathering consisted of ten people, lasted about an hour, but the love and gratitude we experienced was enough to fill a hundred hearts for a hundred years. We celebrated afterwards by walking down the street and getting ice cream from Milk Jam and from Bebe Zito!
