We’re getting hitched!

So, for Alis 35th birthday we’d been talking for years about going to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Orlando. We book the family vacation with the Harry Potter package (special HP lanyards, luggage tags, in-park breakfasts, et cetera). Our first day in the park we had a 9:30am breakfast scheduled at the Leaky Cauldron in Diagon Alley. Ali wakes up bright eyed and bushy tailed excited to get their first day (and her birthday) started. Erik (to Ali) was pretty grumpy in the morning and she was unamused - after all we were IN HARRY POTTER WORLD AND IT WAS HER BIRTHDAY. Halfway through breakfast, Alis chomping at the bit to get out in the park. Alis bff (who was in tow and very in on the secret) says calm down. Erik says he has something Ali can post on instagram. Not in on it, she says no breakfast wasnt IG-worthy. Then in the blink of an eye he’s on his knees and shes ugly crying in the middle of the Leaky Cauldron. Turns out Erik wasn’t grumpy that morning, he was nervous. Bless his heart. Ali’s mom proceeded to tell anyone who would listen, for the rest of the weekend, that “they just got engaged!”
