Evergreen Lake
Our wedding venue doubles as a recreation area. Go for a walk or rent some paddleboards or boats to go around the lake.
Downtown Evergreen
Downtown Evergreen is very small, but very cute! There's shopping, restaurants, and bars in the area. Our favorite highlights in downtown include sandwiches and wine at Creekside Cellars, cinnamon rolls and coffee at the Muddy Buck, and breakfast at Wildflower.
Annual Evergreen Duck Derby - August 3rd
The Duck Derby is an annual yellow rubber duck race that starts at the Dam and ends at Highland Haven Inn. An 85ft ladder fire engine dumps the ducks in all at once, and the first three ducks to pass the finish line get a cash prize. Three sisters
A great trail for an easy-to-moderate hike, as well as some (optional) bouldering!
Elk Meadow Park
Go for an easy but scenic hike or run in Elk Meadows in front of the peak. You can also wake up early and plan for a longer hike up to Bergen Peak (highly recommend bringing a bagel from the Bagelry to enjoy at the peak)!
Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre
Red Rocks has great hiking and is a fun spot for a morning workout. You can also try to catch a concert while you're in town.
Coors Brewery Tour
The Coors Brewery is conveniently located in Golden, very close to Evergreen. We highly recommend doing a tour of the brewery and checking out downtown Golden while you're at it!
Creekside Cellars
Come for the paninis and pasta salad, and stay for the wine (with grapes grown in Grand Junction, CO!).
