Bridesmaid
EMMA is Kealey's oldest friend in the world. Emma's grandmother was president of the board of directors for Kealey's mom's professional dance company, so the two were often together from a very young age. They danced together at EDE for years, and took full advantage of Emma's grandparents' Detroit Pistons season tickets. Kealey developed a love for The Muppets thanks to Emma & her family, and Emma even has a tattoo in the same color blue as Kealey's epic solar system bedroom walls (thanks mom!). The two both became quite close with each others' families, and Kealey says "Emma knows me better than I know myself".

BRIAN is Brandon’s older brother and the reason for his lifelong obsession with movies, writing, and Los Angeles. Brian has always been there for Brandon: from changing his diapers… to picking him up from pre-school. From showing him The Shining for the first time when he was waaaaay too young… to hosting him during his yearly trips to LA to hang out and explore the city. It’s impossible to sum up their relationship in a few quick sentences, so just know this: there’s absolutely nothing Brian wouldn’t do for his younger, smarter, funnier, more handsome brother. And you’ll see that for yourself on the wedding day.

KELLEY rescued Kealey from awkwardly hiding out in the girls' bathroom when she was the new kid at school. They became attached at the hip and spent many summers "up north" in Michigan, played soccer & volleyball together, went snowboarding, took trips to Florida/Disney, and took dance class together. Over the years people would ask if they were related even though they look nothing alike- because of their similar mannerisms. They went to different high schools and rival colleges, but spent plenty of time at each others' schools & still love watching the UofM vs MSU games together. Kelley moved to LA shortly after college, and Kealey followed not long after. They both work in the television industry and are getting married within a year of each other! Kealey thinks of Kelley like a sister.

BROCK and Brandon became fast friends at an early age when they discovered they shared the same bizarre sense of humor that no one else really seemed to get. This was never on display more than in the weird, comedic short films that they would create together in their spare time. When they weren’t making these insane videos, Brandon would “help” Brock DJ numerous live events, which basically meant standing next to Brock trying to look half-as-cool as him while he set everything up and did the actual DJ’ing. They also share another quality: a disdain for having their photo taken. Especially together, it seems. It’s something they’ll have to get over on the day of the wedding.

DEEPA bonded with Kealey when they were failing their freshman math class together in high school. She was the social butterfly to Kealey's awkward, and it was the beginning of a beautiful friendship. She convinced Kealey to try Indian dance (raas) in high school & college, and they spent a stupid amount of time at the mall together- convinced they were extremely fashionable. After one not-so-great semester at University of Arizona, Kealey transferred to University of Michigan and lived in the same dorm as Deepa. They lived together on campus for a couple of years after that, where they spent most of their time with their amazing roommates when they weren't working or studying. Kealey is really excited that Deepa will be relocating from the East Coast to NorCal for work soon!

BEN is Brandon’s cousin, but he’s also one of the first friends he ever made. Their obsession with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, video games, and cruising around the Ozarks on jet ski’s during their adolescent years made them inseparable. As they grew older, they would be the first ones in line at the movie theater to see the newest blockbuster… or at Arrowhead Stadium to see the Kansas City Chiefs play. Ben will no doubt cut a rug on the dance floor the night of the wedding, but don’t be surprised if he’s also checking his phone frequently: the Chiefs play at 10am the next morning and there’s always late breaking news the night before a big game.

LAUREN met Kealey at QVC orientation and decided "she doesn't seem too weird". Thank goodness, because Kealey moved to West Chester, PA without knowing a single person in the area. After about a year at QVC they moved into an apartment together, and had plenty of shenanigans around Philly where Kealey often made them late, left the stove on, or forgot her ID. Lauren is also Kealey's personal stylist, dog-Auntie to Buster Keaton, and fellow Twi-hard *Lauren did not approve this statement. Kealey quit QVC to move to LA in 2014, and was elated when she found out Lauren was also making her way to LALA Land a couple of years after. They lived in a fabulous old house together (with fellow bridesmaid Katie!) in Mid City, and still see each other all the time!

NATHAN and Brandon met while working at a small news station in Lawrence, KS during Brandon’s college years. Both KU film school graduates, their mutual love for Paul Thomas Anderson movies, live music, and Miller Lite created an instant lifelong bond. They would fly to see each other at least once a year after they moved to different parts of the country and even lived together in Los Angeles for a short time when Brandon and Kealey first started dating. “The Nathan and Brandon Show”, which consists of the two of them speaking exclusively in inside jokes, will almost certainly be on full display during the wedding weekend. It’ll probably be charming at first, but you’ll eventually find it a little bit annoying.

KATIE was a glorious gift to Kealey from Lauren, after Kealey moved to LA and Lauren befriended another amazing human at QVC. They met back in Philly before Lauren & Katie made the drive out west, and bonded over a mutual appreciation for country music (hush Lauren) & snowboarding. After Lauren moved out of the Redondo house they all lived in, Jasmine (officiant) moved in and the three formed an extremely important sorority "Kappa Kappa Donut". Buster Keaton chose to exclusively sleep in Katie's room the entire time they lived in the house together, therefore Katie is actually his girlfriend instead of his auntie. Katie and Kealey are planning to attend Stagecoach 2022 on Lauren's birthday.
Goodest Boy
BUSTER KEATON was adopted by Kealey when he was a tiny baby boy from a slightly sketchy rescue. They weren't sure about his breed- turns out he is a mix of 13 breeds, aka a SUPERMUTT! He has just as much anxiety as mom, but is the best cuddle-buddy anyone could ever ask for. Kealey is obsessed with him. Brandon wisely picked up on this and showered Buster with treats and gifts to win both Buster and Kealey over when they started dating. Buster enjoys snacks, walks, playing with dad, seeing all his aunties, and taking up the whole entire bed.
Officiant
JASMINE and Kealey met when they both worked at Pie Town and counted the days of the week by Kealey's bananas. They would bring their dogs (Sebastian & Buster) to work and walk them on lunch breaks together. When Kealey quit Pie Town, Jasmine made her a beautiful poster that said "Good Luck Quitty McJumpship!" After that they wound up living together in Mid City for a while (with bridesmaid Katie!) where Jasmine was the responsible house mom & decorator for Kappa Kappa Donut. Jasmine has always been a positive light and given Kealey great advice (in some rough patches), and she was so happy when Kealey finally found a keeper in Brandon. Her joy, loving energy and relationship with Kealey, Brandon & Buster will make her a perfect officiant for their not-so traditional ceremony!
