WHAT SHALL I WEAR?
Answer
Welcome Party attire is Country Club Casual, which means come as you are! Join us as you arrive and wear whatever makes you comfortable. Our wedding ceremony and reception are Black Tie (tuxes, or dark suit and tie for men, and long or mid-length dresses for women). You likely know how much we love to dress up! We encourage you to have fun with this. However, please do not let our dress code inhibit your attendance in any way. The cocktail hour will be outdoors, and the reception will be under a tent. The ground is grass, so please choose your footwear accordingly! Should it rain, we will move our cocktail hour indoors at The Woodstock Inn. In mid-September, Woodstock's weather will be shifting from late summer to early autumn. We recommend checking the forecast as the date approaches to dress comfortably for the day.

IS THERE PARKING AT THE WEDDING CEREMONY & RECEPTION IF I WANTED TO DRIVE MYSELF?

Yes, public street parking is around The Woodstock Inn and at the Woodstock Green. However, parking is limited.

Will there be transportation provided on the wedding day?
Answer
The ceremony will be held at Our Lady of the Snows Church, conveniently situated just across the street from The Woodstock Inn, allowing for easy access on foot. For guests traveling from The Shire and 506 On The River, a shuttle service will be provided for both the ceremony and the reception. Please plan accordingly and arrive before the scheduled departure time, as there will be only one departure—don’t be late! If you choose to drive yourself, please be aware that parking at The Woodstock Inn is limited, though public parking is available along the surrounding streets. Departure Times: The 506 on The River Departure Time: Promptly at 2:40 PM The Shire Departure Time: Promptly at 2:40 PM The shuttle will pick up outside the front entrance of each hotel’s lobby. Please be ready a few minutes before the departure time. Don't be late! Return Times: All shuttles will return guests to 506 on The River and The Shire at 10:00 pm. Shuttles will be available upon request if you would like to leave earlier than 10:00 p.m. If you plan on attending the after party at Dr. Coburn's Tonic, a shuttle will return guests to The Shire and 506 on The River from the after party at 11 pm, with a final shuttle at Midnight. Dr Coburn's Tonic is a 3-minute walk from The Woodstock Inn.

Unfortunately, there are no Uber services in Woodstock, Vermont. Please use our provided shuttle services, use the local transportation companies below, or plan to drive safely to and from events.

Is there a local transportation company?

Shuttles will be provided on Saturday for the Wedding Ceremony and Reception from The Shire Hotel and 506 on The River. We are still working through event details, so please check back closer to September for a detailed shuttle schedule. If you need a personal shuttle to take you to and from other locations or to the airport and bus station, we recommend VT VIP Services or VT First Class Ride.

We're asking that our weekend events be an adult-only celebration, so we encourage you to arrange childcare and come party with us kid-free!
