Maid of Honor
Although her name is pronounced Me-uhh, you won’t find a more selfless person than this woman right here. From being a devoted wife, a mother to two beautiful little humans, an amazing sister, a great friend; Mia spends her days taking care of not only her own two kids but three others all under the age of 5! Five under five!? On top of three dogs and a house!! Talk about Wonder Woman. Mia enjoys camping (we don’t care about crazy hair here..), being mean to her husband, & plotting with JoAnna. Known as the troublesome twosome, JoAnna and Mia have actually never gotten in trouble other than with the exasperated tone in Vicki’s (mother of the bride) voice when something insanely hilarious is said by one of these two; but “haters gonna hate, potatoes going to potate” -JC. Mia is a supporter of cake for breakfast and farting on her people when they throw a little too much attitude her way. All of those are great things, but the best thing about Mia is that she took JoAnna in during the hardest time of their lives and created a safety net amongst the storm of grief of losing their brother. When you meet Mia, you’ll see a beautiful woman capable of so many amazing and wonderful things, but you’ll also be seeing a piece of JoAnna’s heart, part of her brother Jordan, that only Mia holds.
Gracey
Maid of Honor
The best way to describe Gracey? Hmm.. if you take JoAnna, bleach her hair blonde and give her dreads, add a little more sunshine, add dancing abilities, and then call her Gracey. There you go. Although Gracey and JoAnna are two peas in an anxious pod, share similar interests, and so many of the same qualities.. it is safe to say that one would not exist without the other. We all know Kayson is JoAnna’s soulmate, but Gracey, is JoAnna’s soul tie. Best friends, chosen sisters, twin flames, whatever you want to call it; if there is a perfect word to describe an unbreakable friendship between two healing people, it would describe this bond. Gracey enjoys Harry Potter, Bulbasaur, spooky things, being awkward, New Girl (Nick Miller), and being dramatic. Told you her and JoAnna are the same. Sometimes it’s hidden, but if you’re lucky enough, you’ll see a side of Gracey that not very many get to see. If you watch her dance, you’ll catch a hint of it. A fierceness within that only a warrior who’s overcome unspeakable obstacles can possess, a softness of a woman who loves with all she is, the calm before the storm, an understanding of the world and it’s hurt. Gracey is awesome but she’s also pretty bossy and will not hesitate to take someone down if they hurt the ones she loves. Later down this page, you’ll see this mama bear’s kiddos, Samuel, one of the ring “bears” and Lila, one of the flower girls.. this lady right here is where ALL of the orneryness comes from! Always.
Kendall
Best Man
Kendall’s not your typical middle child, he’s actually the favorite of the three Fassler boys. Although legend has it that the Schwan’s man dropped off this fiery redhead, the stubbornness and attitude leaves no questioning what his last name is. Fitting that JoAnna will be taking that name from his brother? Computer genius by night, pastor in the making by day, Kendall enjoys motorcycle rides, telling dark jokes (be careful what you repeat), a little “friendly” rivalry in video games with JoAnna, sharing God’s word, helping people move, snuggling with kitties, and telling others that dyslexics are teople poo. Kendall has played a big part in leading Kayson closer to Jesus, growing his interest in wrenching on vehicles, and gets credit for starting Kayson’s motorcycle addiction. A contradiction of a bad influence and a moral compass, Kendall always keeps those around him on their toes. If you’re ever looking for someone always down to get some icecream, here’s your guy!
Stephen
Best Man
Here’s Stephen taking the lead on Kendall in the trend of questionable influences by Kayson vividly remembering (very shockingly) being allowed to drive for the first time pre-license under Stephen’s “watchful” eye. Although one of Kayson’s favorite memories with Stephen is the early mornings of duck hunting together, the word early is not usually associated with the oldest Fassler brother. Words that are very easily used to describe him though are generous, loyal, a great dad to the sweet baby Raith (the youngest ring “bear”), and if you’re asking JoAnna she’d say the nicest of the three Fassler boys. Stephen has a strong love for pineapple salsa, disc golf, and all things Big Foot. Being the oldest gave Stephen a leg up on his brothers of getting the good jeans, he’ll probably forget them somewhere but he knew where they were a second ago. Stephen enjoys long walks on the beach as long as he has his trusty speaker to listen to stand up comedy and podcasts. He’d give you the shirt off his back if you needed it, but please remain dressed!
Josiah
Usher
Mr. Josiah is the youngest of the Collins children, but don’t let his age fool you.. he towers over his “big” sister and has since he hit middle school. Facing the normal torture all baby siblings do in a family of five kids, Josiah earned his black belt at sarcasm at a very early age. Not only does the gentle giant have some sass, he also does a great job of keeping a calm atmosphere, one could say almost too chill. Josiah has played the role of precious baby, toy, annoying little brother, sounding board, stepped up big brother, friend, & protector for JoAnna for their whole lives together. Who better to be an usher than the young man who’s helped keep his older siblings on a good path since day one? You might have to tell him to take his headphones out but there’s no doubt that you won’t find a better listener when you’re needing someone to lean on.
Tyler
Usher/Best Bridesman
Tyler demanded the title of Best Bridesman to go along being an usher, maybe out of unwavering support to his chosen little sister.. or maybe he was really hoping to wear a pretty dress too. Tyler is the shortest brother JoAnna has but don’t let that take away from the fact that he’s taken on the task of filling in for size 18 shoes.. Tyler and JoAnna share a part of the same special bond you’d have been so lucky to see with Jordan (JC, JoAnna’s brother in Heaven), the bond of utterly roasting each other and fighting the way only a little sister and big brother can. Although they don’t have the same last name and definitely won’t after the big day, there’s no doubt that these two were meant to be siblings. Tyler enjoys his time by admiring his beautiful wife, playing with his two perfect children, antagonizing his family, and installing the most breath taking glass work throughout Colorado. Although he roots for the Pittsburgh Stealers, Tyler loves football and cheering his team on at the top of his lungs. Despite all of his weirdness, he’s more than earned his role of Best Bridesman by taking care of a very precious sister that he chose to take in and keep despite the attitudes.
Samuel
Ring “Bear”
The oldest of the three “bears”, Sam took it upon himself to remind JoAnna of the wonders of being an aunt by soaking up all the nephew love he can.. bear. From running hugs that turn into tackles, comparisons to pancakes, discussing all things Spider-Man, and convincing her to share nap time, Sam has had JoAnna wrapped around his little finger since day one. Sam has a tender heart like.. a teddy bear but just like his momma, is a fierce protector. Take the ball he was just about to play with and he might get a little grizzly.
Daxton
Ring “Bear”
Daxton is the most strong willed of the nephews you’ll meet, but what can you expect from having Mia and Tyler as parents? Although Daxton and JoAnna can usually be found arguing, he’ll let you see his sweet side and you’ll catch the best bear hugs! Daxton shares JoAnna’s love for soft blankets and bullying his dad. The little blonde cuteness will draw you in like honey but take this shy guy’s cake that his Mimi made him and you’ll be in the woods.
Raith
Ring “Bear”
Our little cub, Raith sure is sweet. Taking after his dad and uncles, Raith can use his long eyelashes and cute smile to get away with just about anything. Although he’ll bearly be one years old when he makes his debut down the aisle, we’re sure this little cutie won’t take any hibernation breaks until after he’s had his dessert! Baby Raith may be a little guy but he’s got a big personality he’s growing into. He won’t hold the title of the newest addition to the Fassler family after our big day but he sure is the cutest!
Lila
Flower Girl
Sweet Lila girl takes after her mom in being very ornery and bossy, but only when she needs to be. Known as JoAnna’s little baby raccoon, Lila is fearless and loves to get dirty in the blink of an eye. The cute dresses and bows won’t slow her down!
Breckynn
Flower Girl
Queen B made her presence known to the world by making sure everyone would remember to be thankful, but especially thankful for her (being born on Thanksgiving). A trend in JoAnna’s nieces is fearlessness and being absolutely adorable. Breckynn is a little daredevil and will melt you with her smile when she knows she’s doing something she’s not supposed to be. This queen won’t say “Let them eat cake!”, although it is encouraged.. she will give you the meanest mean mug a tiny human can possess.
