This is where Kayman and Jason met and played board games for the first time together at the Saint Paul Board Game Group!
A very unique and fun indoor mini golf course in the basement of Black Stack Brewery. (also a good brewery) Can Can features local artist that are above and beyond. There is a bar with food, stage and old arcade games.
Kayman loves going to this mini golf course on the other (west) side of town. Similar to Can Can Wonderland but outside. You putt through large sculptures in a winding and challenging but fun course. There are also sculptures, a bonfire, goats and other livestock to see.
We love taking hikes along the trails. Nice diversity or easy and harder hikes. We really enjoy bringing a chair to the river and just relax watching boats pass and reading.
If they are in town go to a twins game!
Watch a Saints Game, just a few miles away from our house!
This will be going on during our wedding weekend. Kayman has attended this twice in the last 3 years and really enjoyed listening to the music, seeing the vendors and watching the Irish dogs or sheep herding. Irish dancing is really fun to see too!
We love taking leisure walks around Hyland. They are famous for their gigantic Shoots and Ladders playground.
Nature trails both paved and unpaved.
This is such a cute small town with different things to do from walking main street and shopping to breweries and hiking. Definitely worth a trip if you haven't been and only 20 minutes west of Cannon Falls, MN and about 45 minutes south of the cities.
This is another cute town that is located on the Mississippi surrounded by beautiful bluffs. It is definitely worth exploring if you have time. it is located 25 minutes east of Cannon Falls, MN and an hour south east of the cities. from walking downtown and shopping to hiking in the bluffs, and wineries and a brewery.
I wouldn't be able to list them all but just look up the area you are going to be staying in and there is probably several within 10-20 minutes, if not closer. Ones we do frequent are Unmapped (Minnetonka), Fat Pants (Eden Prairie), Wooden Hill (Bloomington), LTD (Hopkins), Under Pressure (Golden Valley), Sisyphus (downtown Msp), Wild Mind (S. Msp - haven't been but heard good things), Pyres (NE Msp), Dangerous Man (NE Msp) - there are many breweries down town or in NE Msp. Bald Man (Eagan), Union 32 (Eagan), Bad Weather (downtown St. Paul), St. Paul Brewing (downtown St. Paul), Bricksworth ( Burnsville), Ineffable (Burnsville), Boathouse (Prior Lake), Angry Inch (Lakeville) ETC.
One of the other wineries in MN that I enjoy a lot. It is located on the west side of the cities and beautifully looks over a lake.
Another favorite winery because of the location and the kitchen. It is a ways away from the cities in WI but worth the drive if you have at least half a day.
Velveteen speakeasy in the JX event center in Stillwater, Volsteads in Burgers and Bottles in Eagan, Volstead's Emporium behind Up Down in Uptown, Mudd Room under Lucky 13's in Mendota Heights, Back Bar at Young Joni in Northeast msp. There are several more but these are the one's I've been to or walked by and wanted to go to.
