Biltmore Estate
Once you pay the entry fee, you have full access to the grounds all day. This includes the gardens, miles of walking trails along the property and in the forest, and Biltmore Village where you can partake in free wine tastings (21+).
DuPont State Recreational Forest
Contains beautiful nature trail hikes to waterfalls such as Triple Falls, High Falls, and Hooker Falls. If you're less into hiking, there are multiple parking lots which get you closer to these views with more of a short walk. Fun fact: the original Hunger Games movie was filmed here!
Pisgah Forest Gem Mine
It sounds a little silly, but we had a lot of fun doing this together! The employees were able to help us identify all of the gems and stones we pulled out and we left with some cool souvenirs. Check Groupon before you go for any discounts.
The Adventure Center of Asheville
