FAQs

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The short answer is: not white. Our dress code is cocktail attire, so we're requesting no jeans or khakis and for dresses to be tea length and below. For the girlies (AKA the long answer): The bridesmaids will be in terracotta dresses (pictured on Birdy Grey). Groomsmen will be in grey suits with terracotta accents. If matching the wedding party is your thing, then feel free!

Question

Will there be venue transportation?

Answer

There will be a shuttle service from the Crowne Plaza Hotel to the venue before the ceremony and back towards the end of our reception. However, there is plenty of parking at the Crest Center if you choose to drive yourselves (please drink/drive responsibly!).

Question

What is the schedule for the big day?

Answer

We ask that all guests arrive at the Crest Center from 4:30pm to 4:45pm. The ceremony will be followed by cocktails and appetizers at 5:30pm, and dinner will be served at 6:45pm. Dancing and general party shenanigans will ensue from 8:00pm-10:50pm before the big send off.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes :) The bar will close briefly from 6:25-6:45 pm for first dances but will open back up in time for dinner. Also, please note that NC state law prohibits the bartenders from serving each individual more than one liquor based drink at a time. You can grab a beer/wine for your partner, but only one cocktail will be provided per valid ID each trip to the bar. Please drink responsibly and feel free to leave your personal vehicle overnight at the venue and utilize Uber/Lyft if need be. The venue only asks that all vehicles be moved by noon the following day.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

Unfortunately, as much as we'd love to invite all of our friends' children, we are unable to accommodate children beyond our wedding party. We hope that you will understand this decision and that you will still be able to join us on our special day.
