Wedding Party

Pomaikaʻi Canaday

Maid of Honor

As Kaylen found her soulmate, she also gained the sister she always wanted: Pomai. Pomai is Kona's sister, and as Kaylen and Kona's relationship grew, so did her bond with Pomai. Years before the engagement, Kaylen and Pomai already referred to each other as sisters, knowing that one day they would officially be sisters-in-law!

Brandie Kasaoka

Bridesmaid

Brandie and Kaylen first met in 2019 while working at Kumon. As part of their job, they often worked side-by-side. They began telling each other jokes, coming in early to work before their classes started, and eventually hanging out outside of work. Now, they're the best of friends that do everything together!

Jacie Nakazato

Bridesmaid

Jacie and Kaylen have been friends since seventh grade. They shared many classes and bonded over the fact that their birthdays were only two days apart. Their friendship has grown from their teenage years into adulthood, so it's only fitting that Jacie is by Kaylen's side as she embarks on this next chapter.

Kayla Kawaʻakoa

Bridesmaid

Kayla Kawaʻakoa and Kaylen were placed in the same cohort during college. They were assigned to the same group for their writing class and often made each other laugh during class, sometimes a little too much to the point where they got in trouble. Their friendship grew stronger throughout the years and became best friends!

Kayla Kahoaka Mamala

Bridesmaid

Kayla Kahoaka-Mamala and Kaylen also met during their college years and got closer as the years went by. Their classrooms were next to each other when they first started teaching, and they would always just take a few steps to talk to each other during the day. Now, Kayla will be next to Kaylen on her wedding day!

Kallie Fujiwara

Bridesmaid

Kallie and Kaylen also met during their college years. During school, they always pulled all-nighters together, drank a bunch of coffee, and studied in person and through Google Meets during distance learning. When they look back on their time in college, they often laugh about what they went through, but cherish the friendship they made with each other.

Lancen Hambaro

Groomsman

These two are the same person in different bodies. Lancen and Kona have known each other since middle school and instantly became friends. Their favorite thing to do was, and still is, ragebait people online and in real life.

Christopher Cornwall

Groomsman

Chris and Kona have been friends since kindergarten. They were close neighbors growing up and would hang out all the time. Once they both got Xbox’s and computers all they did was play games with each other every day.

Kapono perry

Groomsman

Kapono and Kona met each other on their first day of canoe paddling. They paddled for years together and played Xbox and computer games every day. They both got into fishing and would go to Kaena Point every few weeks to night fish for Moi and Menpahi.

Joshua Ferrer

Groomsman

Josh and Kona were classmates in Hawaiian Language class. Kona would always ask Josh for help since he was fluent in Hawaiian. Both of them would always talk about spearfishing during class, and eventually started going every week.
