FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

To help us with our planning, please RSVP as soon as possible. However, the deadline is March 1, 2026. If we don't receive your RSVP by this date, we cannot make exceptions and will have to mark you as "no." We need to provide the venue with a total guest count in a timely manner, so we hope you can understand!

Question

Where will the ceremony and reception be?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be at the same place: La Pietra - Hawaiʻi School for Girls. Our venue is very close to Waikiki. Therefore, we recommend a staycation at the many hotels that are located nearby! That way, you can enjoy yourself all weekend! If you look at the "travel" tab on our website, you will see some hotels that we suggest you stay at.

Question

When should I be at the venue?

Answer

Our ceremony is scheduled to begin at 3:00 PM. Please arrive and be seated no later than 2:45 PM. A gate at the ceremony site will close promptly at 2:50 PM. To avoid any disruption, late arrivals will not be permitted to enter until the ceremony has finished.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Many people describe La Pietra as one of the most breathtaking spots on the island. We recommend dressing more formally so you can take some awesome pictures! The wedding will be held outdoors. For men, we suggest an aloha shirt and slacks. For women, we recommend a comfortable dress and platform shoes, as the reception will be on the grass and heels may be difficult to walk in.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited space, we can only accommodate guests who are formally invited. If you've received a plus one, they'll be specifically addressed on the invitation. Otherwise, we ask that only the named people in the invitation are in attendance.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

We love your children, but to allow all of our guests to relax and enjoy the celebration, we have decided to make our wedding an adults-only event. The only children in attendance will be our flower girl and ring bearer. We hope you understand and can still celebrate with us!

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

To allow everyone to be fully present, we kindly request that you put away your phones and cameras during the ceremony. We have a professional photographer capturing the ceremony for us. Other than the ceremony, yes! Please feel free to take as many photos and videos as you like!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! We want you to have the best time, so the drinks are on us, but the hangover is on you! Please arrange transportation from the venue if you plan on drinking. We want all of you to make it home safely! We recommend bringing cash to show our bartenders some love! (Venmo works as well!)

Question

What should I do for a gift?

Answer

The best gift we could ask for is your company at our wedding. However, should you wish to help us celebrate with a gift, funding for our house would be a treat! There will be a card box located at the sign in table.

Question

How will parking work?

Answer

Valet service will be available at La Pietra. If you would like to show your appreciation, we recommend bringing cash for gratuities.

Question

When will the party end?

Answer

The reception will end at 8:30 PM! Since it's late, please arrange your transportation home ahead of time if you plan on drinking, as we want everyone to get home safely.
