Our venue is the German Society of Pennsylvania; the address is 611 Spring Garden Street, Philadelphia, PA. You can use this link to view the location in Google Maps. Once you arrive, please enter through the front door for a short welcome reception before the ceremony. The ceremony space is located on the third floor of the building, but our venue also has an elevator on the left side of the lobby that can get you to the right level.
There is no on-site parking, however guests are invited to use street parking around the venue.
The majority of the wedding will be indoors, however there is a terrace that will be accessible during cocktail hour.
We have room blocks at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco Philadelphia and Holiday Inn Express. Please visit the "Travel" section of our site for more details.
If you miss the deadline to reserve a room in our block, reach out to the hotel and mention our wedding anyway—they may be able to accommodate you with our discount in a room outside of our block. If not, there are many great hotels in Philadelphia!
The Philadelphia International Airport (PHI) is the closest airport. The hotel will be easily accessible from PHI via taxi, public transit or ride share.
Our dress code is formal. We ask that you wear a suit and tie or an evening gown, midi-or knee length cocktail dress. A kilt would also be appropriate.
Fall can be a variable time in Philadelphia, but November tends to be chilly. We recommend wearing a coat for transportation, however inside the venue will be comfortable.
While we would love to celebrate with everyone, due to space limitations we are not allowing additional plus-ones at our wedding. The name of every guest invited to attend is clearly listed on your invitation and no additional guests can be accommodated.
We love your children, however due to space constrictions only those whose names are listed on the invitation are invited to our wedding.
We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a sit-down family-style dinner with a variety of entrees and sides. There will be gluten-free and vegan option available. The entire wedding is nut-free.
We plan on having an entree choice that's vegan and gluten free to accommodate guests with dietary restrictions, and our entire wedding is nut-free. Our cocktail hour appetizers will also all be clearly marked if they are allergy friendly (and there will be multiple allergy-friendly options). If you have additional restrictions that go beyond what we've listed here, please let us know in the designated section of your digital RSVP. We want you to feel comfortable and well fed!
There will be an open bar during cocktail hour and the reception.
You can find our complete wedding registry here on our website (and purchase directly from our wish list) under the "Registry" tab.
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can have it delivered to our home at 4605 31st Road South, #C2, Arlington, Virginia, 22206. A wedding card box will be at our reception.
We encourage guests to take photos during the cocktail hour and reception and share them on [photo sharing]. During the ceremony, please keep your phones away. Our photographer will get amazing pictures that we will share with you!
Kindly contact our wedding coordinator, Merida Alexander at 215-527-5344 with any further questions ahead of the wedding.
