Matron of Honor
I met Arlene at work. We didn’t like each other when we first met, but we have become virtually inseparable. She’s my travel partner, my best friend, my therapist. I can’t imagine my life without her. She is the best friend anyone could ever ask for and I am honored that she’s standing next to me on one of the biggest days of my life.
Best Man
I met this guy 20 years ago in high school and since then he's been the most supportive friend I've ever had. I can not count how many times I was helped and encouraged by him. We go through bad times but he’s also been there for the best times...and here we are once again. It is an honor to make him part of this wonderful moment in my life.

Wow. I don’t know where to start-tears start welling up immediately. I have been blessed to have Shayne in my life for over 22 yrs! We’ve been friends since 6th grade when she moved across from me. Her family is mine and mine is hers! She rowed with me, taught me how to sing (although my lack of ability shall be no reflection on her because the girl can SANG!), taught me how to dance, we had our first car accident together & her family taught me what a real family reunion is. She was a big part of my formative years and I’m so lucky to still be able to call her one of my best friends. Distance has separated us, but every birthday (and some family reunions) we can pick up like no time passed. She’s a special person and anyone who meets her recognizes that immediately.

Alexandre is my cousin, my friend, my brother. It's such a story I can not even tell. We grew up together, with big differences, but above all with a lot of respect and love for each other. It's always an honor to have him around. He is always encouraging me and hoping for the best to happen in my life.

I met Shantell at work maybe 8 years ago now. I saw, talked to and had lunch with her every day for 3 years and never ever got sick of her--I won't say she felt the same way! :-) Shantell taught me what being a good friend looks like. We’ve always been very close and while I was living in Charleston we did everything together. I’m so fortunate to have remained close to her throughout the years since I moved to Atlanta & I feel incredible lucky that she’s making the trip to be standing with me on this day!

This guy came into my life during moments of struggle and difficulty. He’s helped me through them and been incredibly supportive along the way. There is no way to deny that it was God who sent me a brother- to help me, challenge me, and to cry with me-and especially to enjoy many times of joy such as this day.

Brea came into my life when I moved to Atlanta nearly 5 years ago. I met her through mutual acquaintances and I am lucky to be able to now call her one of my best friends. Not only is she stunningly gorgeous, she is kind, talented and one of the sweetest people I know. I could not have gotten married without her--literally--she picked out my dress! She's always thinking of her friends and she is such a joy to be around. I just hope that she gets to the wedding on time-- anyone who knows her knows it will be a miracle! 😋

Miguel is Leandro's son. He's 11 and he's as tall as me! This boy is just like his father (and i mean that in the best way). He is the absolute gentlest, kindest, most patient, chill boy I know. He's also kind of shy. So, $5 to the first person to get him on the dance floor! UPDATE: when Leo read this, he upped the reward to $20! ANOTHER UPDATE: Miguel has learned of this reward and is currently in negotiations with his sister, but leaving it open if other guests have better deals to offer 😋
Flower Girl
Laura is Leandro’s daughter—she’s 8. She loves to sing and dance. She’s incredibly sweet and thoughtful and her only request was that she be the flower girl. Of course, she was a shoe-in and I can't wait for her to show everyone her moves on the dance floor!
Officiant
Amanda is one of my best friends. We’ve been friends for 16 years-when she convinced me to go through sorority recruitment (which I thought I’d never EVER do). So fair to say that she’s stretched me as a person, as a woman and she is always so encouraging and understanding in the process. Life has taken us farther and farther away from each other, geographically; but we have remained close over the years. I actually had the incredible honor of marrying Amanda and her husband, Johnny, in August 2018 and I am ecstatic that she is willing to marry us!
