We understand life is crazy and most guests would be traveling to share this day with us. While we'll miss you, we COMPLETELY understand! As soon as you know you can't make it, please reply on the RSVP page of this website. You simply type your name in and select your reply, then submit. Knowing this early will allow us to plan appropriately and more quickly (which really helps keep Kaylee's stress at bay because, let's face it, shes the high strung one in this relationship)! :-)
We love kids-especially our friends’ & family’s kids! While you are more than welcome to bring them along for the weekend, we are asking that this event be adults only for various reasons, but mostly because we want everyone to have a great time and have a chance to step away from that responsibility for a few hours, have a date night, spend time together and have a chance to reconnect, let loose and be in love!
While the wedding will be about 40 miles north of Atlanta, there is always the opportunity to go into the city to check out our "famous" Aquarium or the Coca-Cola Factory (where the Coke secret recipe is kept). Whether you like baseball or not, Suntrust park (where the Braves play) is an AWESOME place to hang out on a Friday! The Battery is the area around the stadium with lots of good restaurants and bars. Go to Punchbowl Social and have an adult milkshake, play giant jenga and thank me later! Local to Lake Lanier and in/around the resort there are several things to do. The resort has horseback riding, a spa, a golf course, a beach, water park, zip-lining, boats to rent and a wonderfully hot pool to lounge in. There is no shortage of things to keep you busy (or not) for the weekend (and beyond)!
We hope not! This was the latest we would go to have a wedding outside. THEY say that the average temps are 69 degrees. We've seen 85 in November, so your guess is as good as ours! However, it WILL be on the lake, so account for the lake breezes when you plan attire! We will have a tent that will block out breezes and heaters available, but the ceremony will be in open air.
Business casual to cocktail attire is the “dress code”, but it doesn't really matter- we want you to be comfortable! For our family coming from Wisconsin, you may be happy in short sleeves because 69 & breezy is perfect weather to you. However, our Brazilian family might want to wear long sleeves and sweaters! Whatever it is, just be sure you're able to dance!
Duh. I can think of at least 75 people who wouldn’t come if it wasn’t! 😋
Uber/Lyft or a rental car are the best options. MARTA doesn't run that far north of the city (and really isn't that user-friendly anyhow).
I can help! Travel is my middle name. I’ve included some pointers on the Travel & Accommodations page, if there is anything else we can do to make this as easy as possible for out-of-towners, let us know. Anything we can do to alleviate the stress, we will!
We want everyone to be safe, so I suggest using the discount code/link on the Travel Accommodations page to reserve a room for yourself or a couple people (most of my local friends know each other and so can coordinate together). If you don’t know anyone going and you want to room with someone, let me know!
