We have both gazebos at the Sunrise Day Use Area inside of Farragut State Park. You will need a parks pass or to pay the day use fee to get into the park. We’re doing a tapas potluck, so bring your favorite dish! BYOB. There are a few outlets available if it needs to stay warm. We’ll bring disposable plates, cups, silverware, and napkins. We’ll also have some wine and a limited selection of non-alcoholic drinks, but recommend bringing drinks for your family. It’s a casual and informal event, we just want to celebrate with our friends! The party starts at noon!
No. The venue does not allow smoking on the premises. However, they’re allowing us to do a celebratory cigar photo session, away from any structures, for guys that would like to join. We’ll have some Backwoods Cigars to share, but if you have a specific kind and would like to participate, you’re welcome to bring your own. Marijuana, however, will not be permitted. While it’s legal in Montana, the venue and event insurance policy forbid its use. The Bride is also allergic and gets severe headaches from even small amounts of residual smoke. Therefore, guests will be asked to leave if it’s used.
The venue is outdoors and we’ll have the ceremony on the lawn, so tall and sharp heels are not recommended. We’re going for dressy casual to semi-formal. The groom and his party will be wearing blazers with jeans and boots, so a full suit may be a bit dressy, but we hope everyone takes the opportunity to dress up a bit! It’s also late spring in Montana, nestled up against the Mission Mountains, so it would be best to plan for both a hot sunny day, and windy chilly night.
Yes! Please see the travel tab for more information.
Our colors are olive and plum with a Tuscany-meets-Montana feel!
The venue is The Silver Knot and it’s nestled up against the gorgeous Mission Mountains! The property is surrounded by trees but doesn’t have much shade. The ceremony will be on the lawn, cocktail hour will be around the covered patio/dance floor area, dinner will be inside, then we’ll have a fire pit and some yard games outside for after dinner. Since we’re having a smaller wedding, we’re really hoping to spend some time with everyone attending!
Yes! Please bring them!
We will have a bar cart at the venue serving one beer, wine, and champagne option. We ask that you bring cash to cover the tips for your drinks. The venue has strict rules against bringing your own alcohol, so please do not bring your own. We will also have iced tea, water, and lemonade available.
To ensure we can accommodate all our guests, only those named on your invitation are included. If we missed someone on the invite, please reach out to Kayla to see if we’re able to accommodate. Thank you for understanding!
Rain or shine, the celebration continues! Please bring umbrellas if rain is in the forecast. We will move the ceremony under a large covered patio if it rains, but that doesn’t guarantee you’ll stay dry.
We kindly request that guests do not take photos during the event. We have a very talented professional photographer to capture every moment so we can unplug and enjoy!
