This was the day that Billy found his suit for the wedding from a local LGBTQ small business owner. The occasion called for a Negroni toast.

We set the date for our wedding at Kayla's parents' home last November.

You know what they say. "The couple that can get through shots of malort together, can get through anything together."

Billy proposed during our week-long vacation to Alaska last summer. We had just got done fighting and there was a pile of dirty laundry at his feet. It was perfect.

Four months into "casually" dating, Kayla cut all of her hair off and surprised Billy at his art show. It was the first day he introduced her as his girlfriend. Coincidence? Probably not.

We would hang out on Kayla's rooftop every night we could. This was the day we had a rooftop picnic and said, "I love you," for the first time.

Our very first picture together. Kayla skipped work to go with Billy to celebrate the Blackhawks Stanley Cup win at the 2013 parade.

The day before we got engaged, Billy took his first boat ride and caught his first halibut in Homer, Alaska. #BillysBigDay

One of the things that first drew Billy to Kayla was her pursuit to become a champion lady arm wrestler. Billy managed Kayla through five tournaments & all three of her lady arm wrestling victories.

Karaoke has always been and will always be a part of who we are.
