Kayla & Billy first connected in the summer of 2013 on an online dating site. They bonded over their mutual love for art & performing, and their complete ignorance of the Star Wars franchise. After a month of back-and-forth, they finally met up for Tuesday Karaoke at a dive bar in Bucktown. They drank PBR tallboys & well whiskey, and talked about improv & bike riding. Kayla sang "What's Up" by Four Non Blondes & Billy sang "Fell in Love with a Girl" by The White Stripes. As Billy was singing, Kayla texted her then-roommate, Martha, "OMG im in LUV!" They ended their first date writing each other postcards on bar coasters over a greasy 2 am breakfast at the Golden Nugget. 5 years later & they're a little older, a little less-broke, and more in "LUV" than ever.
