Things To Do

Here are a few places we think you would love and enjoy! It ranges from different style of tours, adventures, and to some different food. If none of these seem like something you would enjoy, please let us know what you are looking for and we can give you recommendations! If you are looking to see an active volcano, those are sadly on the Big Island.

Polynesian Cultural Center

55-370 Kamehameha Highway, Laie, HI 96762
, (800) 367-7060

I cannot stress to you how much I enjoy this place. If you can only go see 1 place while you are here, PLEASE choose the Cultural Center. You get to learn about several of the Polynesian islands and their culture. THIS IS AN ALL DAY EVENT. There are packages that include a Luau with dinner buffet as well as the Ha: Breath of Life Show, which is AMAING! Once again, due to high demand, I recommend you booking these tickets in advanced as well. There is an option for transportation from Waikiki to this as well!

Iolani Palace

364 South King Street, Honolulu, HI 96813
, (808) 522-0822

We HIGHLY recommend you take a guided tour through the Iolani place. It is a great place to learn a little bit more about the history of Hawaii and how it came to be a part of the United States.

Pearl Harbor National Memorial

1 Arizona Memorial Place, Honolulu, HI 96818
, (808) 422-3399

Everyone has heard the story of Pearl Harbor, but we highly recommend you go see it for yourself. It is a very humbling experience, and a walk through the past. IF YOU ARE CLAUSTROPHOBIC PLEASE DO NOT GO INTO THE SUBMARINE!

Aloha Stadium Swap Meet

99-500 Salt Lake Boulevard, Honolulu, HI 96818
, (808) 486-6704

Want to buy AMAZING souvenirs to take back home, but can't break the bank? The Swap Meet has HUNDREDS of different vendors, and it is the perfect place to get those keepsakes. PS- it is cheaper to purchase them here than at ABC or Walmart ;) They also have Food Trucks and different local foods to try!

Escape Waikiki Tours

This one is a bit near and dear to my heart. My friend Kevin has his own intimate tour to help you escape Waikiki and see things/places you would not have thought about. They are customizable to your liking. He does not book more than a few months out. But hands down some of my favorite days here in Hawaii have been spent with Kevin exploring!

Kualoa Ranch

49-560 Kamehameha Highway, Kaneohe, HI 96744
, (808) 237-7321

Looking for some action and adventure?! Check out Kuoloa Ranch! They have activities ranging from ATV tours (through parts of "Jurrasic Park"), Movie site tours (See where some of your favorite movies were filmed!), Zip Lining, Horseback riding, and may others! Kaydawn's Favorites: Zip Lining and the Jeep Exploration Tour. Brianna's Favorites: ATV, Zip Lining, and the Movie Site Tour. If you are looking for something a bit more relaxing, they do have a "Secret Beach"! We do suggest looking into/booking tickets in advanced due to the high demand. Roundtrip transportation from Waikiki can be purchased and added onto your tour!

Honolulu Zoo

151 Kapahulu Avenue, Honolulu, HI 96815
, (808) 926-3191

This is right across the street from the Queen Kapiolani Hotel. It is a small zoo, but well worth the visit due to the kind of enclosures the animals have! Don't forget to check out the sloths ;)

Waikīkī Beach

Honolulu, HI 96815

Don't forget to check out the iconic Waikiki Beach! It starts right across from the Queen Kapiolani hotel, and goes down to the location pin.

Ala Moana Center

1450 Ala Moana Boulevard, Honolulu, HI 96814
, (808) 955-9517

For those of you wanting to do some serious shopping and not completely break the bank, the Ala Moana Center has TONS of stores and restaurants! Check out their website for all the details!

Diamond Head Crater Hike

Kapahulu, Honolulu, HI 96815
, (808) 587-0300

Want to hike close to the hotel? Check out Diamond Head! DIAMOND HEAD STATE MONUMENT - As of May 12th, 2022 all out-of-state visitors must have an advanced reservation to enter Diamond Head State Monument. The reservation system will activate on April 28th, 2022 allowing for reservations to be made 14 days in advance.

North Shore Shark Adventures

66-105 Haleiwa Road, Haleiwa, HI 96712
, (808) 228-5900

For anyone looking for some extra adventure, why not go swim with some sharks?! They do offer transportation as well. IF YOU GET SEASICK, TAKE SOME MEDICATION FOR THIS PRIOR TO GETTING ON THE BOAT. The waves can be pretty rough, so please plan accordingly and know your body. Recommended by Brianna
