Question

Can I touch the Seals and Sea Turtles?

Answer

NO TOUCHY, NO PETTY, STAY AWAY FROM ME. PLEASE do not boop my snoot. All Marine life is protected! We have bacteria on us that can hurt our native marine life, so please do not make them sick with our people germs! You can also face up to a $5,000 fine and jail time for touching AND being too close to them. Like the recommendations during the Covid pandemic, 6 feet social distancing is a MUST for our beloved creatures.

Question

Does Hawaii have jellyfish?

Answer

We sure do!! Please click on the link down below to look at the calendar for our little jelly friends, and when they visit! We personally have never had any issues with this, but please take precautions. https://www.waikikiaquarium.org/interact/box-jellyfish-calendar/

Question

Do we have sharks in Hawaii?

Answer

Why yes. Yes, we do. Please keep an eye out for our friends with large teeth. They do not usually come close to the beaches, but please remember that when you are in the ocean, you are in their house.

Question

Can I take anything from the beach?

Answer

You can take seashells that have washed up on the beach, but please leave our sand and corals right where they are. The beaches are slowly eroding, and we do not want it to leave us any faster than it has to. If you do not listen to this and take some anyways, please keep in mind that when you head back to the mainland, you will go through customs and they will confiscate it. Please only purchase sand, etc., from the store as your souvenir.

Question

Is there a certain type of sunblock I need?

Answer

Why yes. Yes, there is. Please use coral/reef safe sunblock. If you cannot purchase any where you live, all the stores here sell a bunch! Please do your part to protect our coral.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 10:15am, so please arrive at 10am.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We would LOVE for you to bring your loved one(s) to Hawaii with you! But due to the limited space for the ceremony and reception, only the people on the guest list may attend. And we will be checking ;)

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

YES! Please wear Beach attire! And NO I do not mean wear your swim suit and cover up, that is not acceptable. Please see the details under the ceremony attire description.

Question

Can we take pictures?

Answer

The ceremony will be a completely unplugged ceremony. We have some amazing photographers to catch all the special moments during the ceremony. However, during the reception, please feel free to take as many photos as you would like!

Question

Do I need a rental car?

Answer

No, you definitely do not have to get a rental if you do not want to. Most of the activities and things do offer transportation from Waikiki. But if you decide that you would like one, they can be a bit expensive. Make sure you have the pickup/drop off set as the airport. There are different methods of transportation out here. There are rental cars, Uber, Lyft, Turo (rent at your own risk, they have been known to cancel due to high volume), as well as The Bus if you don't care how long it takes to get somewhere.
